Ceremony and reception site reviews needed... please help!!

We're looking at having our June 2012 wedding ceremony at Trellis Events in Stillwater and the reception at Profile Event Center in Minneapolis. Has anyone been to an event at these places or held their wedding there? We're just looking for some reviews to tell us if people have had good experiences there or not I'd really appreciate your help!

I've never been to either, but those two venues are really far apart. As a guest, I would not really appreciate having to drive 30+ minutes between venues, especially if I was unfamiliar with the area. We had to do that for a friends wedding, and it was not fun. JMO.

Not me, but I know there are a bunch of knotties that rave about PEC.  I'm sure they'll chime in!

Don't at all know about Trellis but PEC is wonderful! Have loved working with them every second of the planning process so far and other knotties have come back with nothing but great reviews

I'm having my wedding at Trellis in August and I'm SOOOOOOOOO excited about it! It's just so gorgeous and charming and inviting there, and they have been fantastic to work with. Words can't express how happy I am that we found them : ) Everytime I started to think about just eloping, all I had to do was think about Trellis and I would get all excited about it again. Though I haven't actually had my ceremony yet, I have not had one experience with them that hasn't been absolutely fantastic, so I have absolutely no worries about the big day. Have you gone there and met with them yet?

I don't know anything about PEC, but Trellis is close to Hwy 36, so even if PEC is in Mpls (??), at least it's a highway drive, so I wouldn't think it would be horrible.  Trellis is on the far western side of Stillwater (basically Manning and 36), so it's not like people will be coming all the way from downtown Stillwater.

I havent had my wedding yet, but i booked the PEC back in Jan 2009. They have been AWESOME to work with so far. I booked way in advance and the coordinator, Heather, has been fantastic - she works with me like my wedding is just around the corner...which it is starting to be . She has hands down made the PEC my fav vendor just because of how great she is to work with. If you are anything like me, having a question responded to in a day turn around at most is huge.

Thank you so much for your help guys!

1st: I'm not really concerned with the distance between them... as one of you pointed out, Trellis IS on the far western side and it's totally highway driving. Also, we're having many people just come to the reception so it's not as if all 300 people are driving back and forth.

2nd: I just really can't get over how perfect these places are for us! And after all... it IS our day right? If driving that far is a big issue than just don't get me a present and we'll call it even

I really appreciate the reviews and if you know anyone else who has had an experience there, please send them this way! I'm big into finding out what other people think... to me, there's no better way to investigate an establishment than asking people who've already used it! To you PEC people, how was the food? That's one area of it that I'm a wee bit concerned about....

We haven't had our tasting yet but I've heard FANTASTIC things about their catering.

We have had our tasting at the PEC and the food is awesome!!! Seriously, that was an important part for my Italian fam so we wanted to taste before we booked and we were so happy with the food. I have talked to a few girls on here too that have already had their weddings and they said people were raving about the food at their reception too.

Thanks so much!! This really puts what reservations I did have about PEC to rest... now i'm just getting excited! eek!
