Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

outdoor ceremony site suggestions?

I’m looking for an outdoor ceremony site in the Minneapolis/Bloomington area. We are planning to have a hotel reception at one of the hotels on 494 and I want to keep the ceremony site within 30 min max. My fiancé does not want to see me before the ceremony, so a location that has a dressing area/hide out would be needed. Thanks!

Have you considered the Lyndale Garden and Japanese Garden along Lake Harriet?  Or if it's going to be really big, you could rent out the bandshell, also on Lake Harriet.  You'd rent them through the Mpls Parks Dept.  Depending on what time of year, they'd be beautiful, especially Lyndale Garden in May/June.  That's where I had always wanted to get married until we had to move it up to next April when nothing but tulips are blooming.

My fiance and I are considering Trellis Events in Stillwater.... it looks absolutely amazing! You should check them out!

We are having an outdoor ceremony on Saturday, but have a back up plan for rain.   Make sure you have a back up plan and don't get SET on an outdoor ceremony.

You might want to look at the Japanese Garden at Normandale Community College in Bloomington or Centennial Lakes in Edina, both are convenient to the 494 strip.

My FI and I are getting married at the Millennium Gardens in Plymouth off of 494 and 55. It is BEAUTIFUL...but of course I am biased. It is also really reasonably priced. I would check it out.
