where do you go to get your nails done?

I haven't had acrylic nails in years!  They are not allowed at my job (I'm a chef) so I have no idea where I should go.  I live in the west suburbs.  Any suggestions?  Thanks ladies!

I won free manicures for my BP and I from Spalon Montage but I've never been there.  I've heard good things about the place though.

So... you're going to get acrylic done for your wedding even though they're not allowed at your job? Does that mean you're going to have to take them off only days after getting them? That sounds like a whole lotta hassle (and nail damage) for very little impact. If I were you, I'd look into Axxium Gel nails. They're way easier to have removed. You can't get quite the artificial length you can with acrylic, but they're still pretty awesome. I just started going to Salon Lili in Minnetonka, and they do awesome work. I know they do Axxium and more traditional gel nails... but I'm not sure about acrylic. If you're willing to go a little southeast, I've also heard amazing things about a place called Shiny Nails in Burnsville.

BT Nails in Hopkins does an awesome job and they're really quite affordable :-)

I agree with maybe that getting acrylic nails might be more hassle than it's worth because of your job. It's NOT fun having them taken off!

I will look into the gel nails.  That might be a better option for me!  Even if I get the acrylic I can have them on for almost 2 weeks since I wont be working during that time.  Thanks for all the input ladies!!

There was a previous thread about the gel nails at Spalon Montage in Maple Grove. I believe Simonson's in Grove also does some sort of gel nails... Worth checking out if it is less of a drive for you.

I just had my nails done today at Nail Montage in Maple Grove and LOVED every minute of it!  They were fantastic.  I had a full spa pedicure - amazing - and also had the Axxium OPI gel nails for my fingers.  The Axxium nails look just like a traditional french manicure but they are supposed to last a lot longer.  Hopefully they're right!  They definitely look fantastic.

If MapleGrove is close enough for you, I would definitely recommend them.  They were great!

I've had my nails done in many places in the west burbs.  The place I've found to be the best and last the longest is the place in Ridgedale.  Not sure of the name, but it's right next to the chinese place.
