AW: Just received our first wedding present tonight

Yea, door rang around 7 and the UPS guy had a gift for us.  It's so exciting that people finally have our invites and are excited about our wedding.  I can't believe that people are being so generous.  For some reason it also makes it feel so real.  BTW  It was a silver tray from some of our friends.

Wedding presents are fun!!!  Each day you'll come home looking to see if there are any on the steps!

Last night, one of our friends was over and when he left he said oh there's something out here for you and I shieked saying OH YEAH, A WEDDING GIFT.  Turned out someone had dropped off the yearly phone book.

It was a Wilton Armatel large silver tray.  I am so excited to use them when I entertain.

Fun!  Are you guys opening your shipped gifts right away, or are you supposed to wait?  I'm all for opening right away (so you can mark it on the registry in case they didn't).

Today while I was online checking over the registry (I've been deleting things lately), I saw our "gifts bought #" change from 5 to 6!  hehe, we got a bocce set! Yes!

I imagine we might have some gifts shipped later this summer - I'm having gifts delivered to my office, so it'll be hard not to open them right at work!  (hey, it's better than making a trip to the suburban UPS office every week!)

We are opening gifts that are shipped to us right away (as a couple).  We are checking to make sure everything is fine and then packing it away until after the wedding.  We will also be writing the the thank you cards right away but I really want to wait to send them out immediately after the wedding as I had ones printed with Mr. and Mrs. and I want to use them for all the thank you's.   The gifts we receive at the wedding we will open at our gift opening following the wedding.
