Wedding planner that doesn't mind a DIY bride

Hi guys - My fiancee and I are visiting New Orleans this week to venue shop. While we're there I'd also like to meet with some wedding planners , however, there are many aspects of the wedding I'd like to do myself. For example, I'd like to make my centerpieces beforehand, do the bouquets myself, etc. 

I essentially want someone who's willing to provide the labor to set it up the way I want, as well as coordinate all of the vendors day of since I'm an out of town bride.

Any experiences with someone who's flexible?

I think you just need to get a day of coordinator rather than a full out planner. Our DOC had a "management" package which allowed us to still use her contacts and ideas, as well as her taking control week of with setting up the vendor times, deliveries etc and setting up. We used Carolyn Arthur with All About Events.

<div>I agree, since you are DIY bride and you only need someone to set the room up and direct the day. I'm also a DIY bride. I hired Nikki with 318 Designs and they're pretty much doing the same thing for me. They're setting up my room and decor and directing the day. </div>

As someone who is a week away from the wedding and really getting assistance from our wedding coordinator, I can say Elyse Skani (tying the Knots) totally fits the bill. All our vendors have waited until the busiest week if my life to want to talk details and Elyse has dealt with them all. We're doing a lot of DIY items and she will have 1 or 2 assistants to execute for us on the day of. And being OOT it's been great that she's let us have all our DIY items shipped to her and stored for us. Her number is 504.261.0484.
