Brass band for VERY short second line

I'm getting married in Audubon Zoo and having the reception at the Tea Room which is about 50 yards away.  We really just want a brass band to do the second line for that 50 yards and play a song or two while guests walk into the reception- then the DJ will take over.  I hate paying tons of money for what will be less than a 1/2 hour of playing time. Any ideas?

Most of them charge the same amount regardless of how long they play, because they usually have several people in the band.  You might want to consider having them play for the cocktail hour.  That is what I am doing for my ceremony musician.  Their price is based on three hours.  I am having them play before my ceremony, during, after and for the first hour of my reception

Also consider canvassing your friends (i.e. groomsmen) to see if any of them are musically inclined and could do it... it would save you $ and enable you to do just the <30 min play time that you're looking for.

we hired the pin stripes and their rep explained it to me like this: it costs this much to get them off the couch, lol. funny, but it makes sense.
