Louisiana-New Orleans

Where did you get ready?

I'm trying to figure out the best location for me and my bridesmaids as well as my fiance and his groomsmen (in a different room of course) to get ready. I'm having my ceremony and reception at Latrobe's and I've been checking hotels in walking distance.

Where did you get ready the morning of your wedding?
Have seen the suites at Prince Conti, Hotel St. Marie or Bourbon Orleans?

Any advice you can give an OOT bride will be greatly appreciated.

I got ready at the Omni Royal Orleans.  It's just around the corner from Latrobe's.  The suite was nice and they have a really pretty lobby.

Also there is apparently an apartment above Latrobe's?  Maybe you can rent that.

  • I also got ready at the Omni. The suite I had was fabulous. So much room, and we had a ton of people in there. And the best part was that when my husband and I got to the room at the end of the night, I was expecting it to be a mess like the girls and I had left it, but housekeeping had come and cleaned it up and put everything in a neat little pile. It was great.

  • I was so bummed that someone put a do not disturb sign on my suite.  My room was a mess when I got back on my wedding night.
  • Hi Sarah, we were told there is no extra cost for using the apartment at Latrobe's.  Did you hear different?

I was told there was a $1500 rental for 3 hours. They are offering me a deal and my wedding is daytime so I'm not sure if that's why they were going to charge extra but it was never offered to me as a free option.

When we visited Latrobe's one of the Adler's daughters was actually living in the upstairs apartment. That might be why it's so expensive. She probably doesn't want to clear out!  :)
  • $1500?  Well at that price, I could get the PRESIDENTIAL SUITE at the Bourbon Orleans for TWO nights AND have a nice dinner!

I'll definitely have to clarify that one on our visit in a few weeks.

I was definitely shocked to hear it as well since you had previously mentioned that it was free. Maybe it is if you are having an evening event and meeting their minimums.
