Looking for Party Food!

We are renting a house in the Garden District and decided to have our Rehearsal dinner and Welcome Reception there. Not very many people, and we are looking for a place that has good food that will deliver or we can pick up. Maybe even some good local restaurants that sell food by the pan type of deal. Any suggestions???

Re: Looking for Party Food!

  • We are hoping to have our welcome party food catered by The Joint in the Bywater but its a over a year away so I haven't called them or anything. They have a website with a link to catering prices. My sisters stayed in that area in December and said it was the best food they have ever had.
  • Sweet! I will check them out!
  • boucherie is amaaazing, and is expanding it's catering services. if you haven't eaten there, do it! also, where's the house you're renting? we want to do that! hoping to hear back from race & religious soon but they're suuuuper slow.
  • AH! You just gave me a great idea. A welcome party at a rented house would be PERFECT! That way people could drop by and mingle and we could provide snacks and alcohol but it would be REALLY inexpensive.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
  • We went on Homeaway.com and found a house that is 1 house, but it is split between two units/levels which is perfect for two new families to be in. The house we have holds 10 people in 1 unit and 12 in the other and is about $500 per night. It is in the Garden District. If you would like and I can send you over the owner's info!
  • Many of the catering places are more for actually receptions, we are really just looking for some muffalatas, jambalaya, pasta, and a salad. Any other "pan type" catering places?
  • I love Cafe Zea (I think I spelled it right), Bravo's and the Camilla Grill (great breakfast place) all in the Garden District.
