Invite Question

When you are addressing the invites and basically our parents are helping us but we are paying for the wedding.  When addressing the outer envelopes should they be from us?  What did you do?TIA!

    I would go by what the actual invitation says. Is it "Mr & Mrs Bethy's parents invite you ..." or is it "Together with family, Bethy and Bethyf FI..."? If it's the first, you should probably have the return address be your parents. If its the second, then it could be your address. But, times have changed and I don't think there are hard and fast rules on this anymore.For ours, my parents paid for 95% of our wedding, their names were on the invite as the "hosts" and on the return address, but we had the replies sent to me. Even though parents paid, they were largely uninvolved in planning and I wouldn't have been able to stand having to go over to my mom's to see the RSVPs!

    We put the return address on the back of the envelope, and just used the address that the RSVP's were going to.  We didn't use a name, since they were going to our parents house, just the address.

    I probably did it the "wrong" way, but my invites said Rvnsgrl's mom invites you to Rvnsgrl and Rvnsgrl's FI son of Rvnsgrl's FI parents.I had a stamp made from an Etsy seller that said FI (then a heart) Rvnsgrl and our address. I also had the RSVP cards sent to us not my mom. My mom is paying for 95% of the wedding as well, but since we are pretty much doing ALL the planning and such ourselves we didn't see a need to put her address on there and she didn't care.HTH!

    Thanks the invites say please join us naming FI and I so I am just going to put FI and I since the responses are going to our house.
