Venues w/o a Preferred Catering List

Fellow Notties:Due to recent events, the FH and I have had to cut our wedding budget by a third, which limits our ability to afford most caterers in the Baltimore/Annapolis area. Bad News: We thought he'd found the perfect place for our outdoor ceremony/indoor reception venue, but they unfortunately don't offer menu items in our "new" budget AND they house their own caterers. Good News: my aunt and uncle own a catering business in Annapolis, but I have had a hard time finding venues that accept any licensed caterer. So far, my top venues to visit are Newton White Mansion in PG Co. and Swan Harbour Farm in Harford County. Does anyone know of any other venues that will accept outside caterers (not listed on a preferred vendor list)?Stressed Too Soon,MrsRegis2B

I'm pretty sure Chase Court in Baltimore takes outside caterers. Good luck!

We had our wedding at the Lodge at Little Seneca Creek outside of Germantown. Capacity for dinner and dancing is 120 inside, although you can add a tent for up to 300 outside. Current rates are $650 Monday – Thursday; $1800 Friday, Sunday or Holiday; $2200 Saturday for a 7 hour rental. As long as your caterer is licensed and insured, you can bring anyone in. I think that is true of all MNCPPC properties. http://www.wehavethewhere.org
Holy Crap. We survived the first year!

I got married at Eastern Yacht Club right on the Bay in Middle River.  They provided the name of 2 caterers for us to choose from but I believe if you already have someone in mind you can use them.It was like $1250 for the reception site and an extra $500 if you wanted to have your ceremony there.  The fee included all the chairs and tables and obviously the use of the grounds.

I am getting married at a queen anne co park, matapeake clubhouse, we are setting up a tent on the grounds, it is on the bay over the bay bridge, you can use any caterer as long as they have an insurance waiver.
