Tasting with Atlantic Caterers

Just got back from the tasting/bridal showcase with Atlantic and I am stuffed!! They definitely showed off their stuff - food wise! They pretty much sold me tonight, so now we just have to decide between a sit-down and stations - although it would be hard to choose against a mashed potato martini bar!I know a few of you who've said you either went with them or are going to go with them, so tell me about your experiences with them and what you ate or will be eating!

I didnt use Atlantic, but had a mashed potato bar. I must say people talked the most about that than anything else!

We did a seated dinner with Atlantic and it was awesome!! We did a choice of filet mignon & broiled crab cake, chicken w/ cranberry stuffing, and the portobella mushroom. We had garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed green beans. For apps, we had a fruit plate, cheese plate, and veggie plate. And they had so many awesome hot apps, it was hard to choose, but we got the lobster cobbler and the cranberry & brie pastry. Everyone loved the food!! Our friends who were at our wedding loved the food so much, they booked them for their wedding which is in just a few weeks. DH and I can't wait to eat the food again!!We worked with Raoul and he was awesome. (I've also heard Kristin is great) They totally went above and beyond and set up alllll my centerpieces, decorations, etc etc and they packed it up again at the end of the night. They really acted like a DOC. There was no staff at my venue to work my event and I didn't hire a coordinator and they did a fabulous job running the whole night. I'd hire them again in a second!

I am doing stations, I like the idea of allowing guests to be able to go back and get more food.  I am not using Atlantic.  I think a seated dinner goes with a more formal wedding but could be used in a more casual setting, I think the station tends to be more casual. Just IMO though.

I used Atlantic and they were awesome.  Kristin was my consultant and I couldn't be more thrilled with everything she did.  We actually became friends during the planning process and I still talk to her.  We did a stations menu, mainly because my husband was determined to have the mashed potato martini bar.  It worked out really well for us!  We choose the carving station with an upgrade to Prime Rib, the live (cooked to order) pasta bar station and the mashed potato martini bar.  I got so many compliemts from our guests.  They loved all the choices, and most everyone ate a bit of everything. The food and the service were outstanding!

Thanks everyone! Kristin was great, as well as everyone else at Atlantic last night.  My parents were really impressed as well! If we do sit down we will prob do filet/crab cake, and if we do stations we'll prob do the carving with tenderloin and turkey and the potato bar.  In a perfect world I want the filet/crab cake dinner with the potato bar! Wonder how we could swing that!Oh, and we're also doing an ice cream sundae bar for dessert! Can't wait!
