Bridal Shower Host Gift?

I read on a wedding website that the bride should get the bridal shower host a gift. Has anyone else heard this? If so, what are you getting your host as a gift? Thanks!

I have never heard this before, but it makes sense. I am glad you posted this and will be checking this one for ideas/input. Let us know ladies....

I don't think you have to do anything extravagant, but I think it's a good idea to give the hostess a gift.  It takes a lot of time and money to throw a shower, so it's a nice way to show your hostess you appreciate everything she's done.  I received a nice candleholder from Crate and Barrel once as a hostess.  I think I've also received Bath & Bodyworks products.  Another idea that I thought would be nice would be a vase from a place like C&B with a flower arrangement.

You should definitely get her something, even if it is something small.  I am getting mine some spa stuff and one of those little wrap towels with a note that says "Hope all your showers are as sweet as mine was."

I totally agree with everyone above!  Something small but meaningful will always be appreciated.

That is a really good idea I have never heard of this before and when I hosted my cousins bridal shower she didn't get me anything but I think it is very sweet and thoughtful.

I'm so glad I read this post!  Two of my besties are throwing me a shower in June and now I have time to get each of them something :)  Also future SIL is throwing one too, so I have plenty of time :)
