doubts dress part 2

I couldn't beat the operation aborted!

Thanks everyone for reassuring me that it's normal to doubt the dress.  It doesn't come in until May, so I'm going to work on my patience.  Maybe this is my belated item for lent!

Thanks especially to whoever said not to go dress shopping...it was so tempting and I even called a place to set up an appointment! must resist!!!

Generally I'm feeling better now about the entire wedding...had my first major meltdown last night and it started with the dress and snowballed from there.  Now I feel like it's going to be ok again.

@ Sue & Kevin, everyone (mom, dad, bridesmaids, me) keeps wavering on the roses, but I finally decided to cut them because I've never worn anything floral in my life and it's just out of character.  I am considering repurposing some of them into a hair piece or finding another use for them.

PERFECT answer! Let me know if you want any ideas for how to do this, because I am sure I can help!

There is a big organza flower on my dress. I'm repurposing it as a hair piece :) Why pay extra for a totally separate hair piece? You made a wise choice to not look at other dresses.

I'm glad to hear you are doing better.  It is very difficult to wait but once you put the dress back on, you'll remember why you chose it.

Also, if you ever want to comment on an "Operation Aborted" thread, just quote one of the previous responses, then delete the text and then you can write in your own response.  It's not perfect but at least it allows the discussion to continue.
