Gift for my DH...ideas!

My DH's birthday is coming up on the 12th. I need ideas on what to get for "the man who has everything". I've asked him, and he says, "I don't want anything". It's a big birthday, so I need to get him something nice. Suggestions?

Does he like sports?  Maybe some sports memorabilia?  Or tickets to a game?

    Concert tickets?

Maybe a weekend away for the two of you?

Tell us more about him -- what does he like to do?  Also, what is your budget?

I find that for people who have everything, getting them something to DO is usually better than tangible gifts.

Ditto Julie, an event of some kind...concert, etc. would be a great gift for 'the man who has everything'. If I remember correctly, your DH is in sports broadcasting, right?! So he probably does sports all the time. Maybe a weekend at a nice B&B or a weekend on Mackinac would be fun for the two of you?

He loves sports, but he's a sports broadcaster so we can get tickets to events and concerts anytime. He travels for work, but he likes to read.  I'm not sure if there are any good books out there that he hasn't read. (anyone know any good sports books that are new?)
He enjoys good food, but I already made a reservation for his favorite restaurant. I'm looking for something that won't cost too much because he is very frugal, and I know he would freak if I spent too much. Something creative perhaps?

Do you already own Netflix??  We got it for Christmas and we LOVE it.  $10 a month.

Kindle/Nook?  Subscription to his favorite magazine?

Ditto Julie's suggestion about Netflix.  It's awesome!

Does he have a kindle? If he loves to read, that might be a good gift!

Emily, I was thinking Kindle too as I read your later post. My boss bought it for her hubby who loves to read, and travels, and he loves it.

If you want to get him something "different", and personalized, I've always been happy with things from www.personalcreations.com.

    Here are romantic items:

Here are bar/home decor personalized items (I got Kevin the personalized one where the Detroit Tiger is coming to home plate to celebrate his home run, with his last name on the jersey of the home-run hitter)

    Here are "men" ones:

The only other thing I can think of, since you already have dinner reservations, would be a couple's massage somewhere.

    Good luck.

If he travels a lot, maybe a GPS?  One of those new ones that does driving and pedestrian?  I got DH one (garmin) and he LOVES it!  He uses it all the time when he's killing time in a strange town!

A massage!  That's what I'm getting for my FI for his birthday next month.  He's been stressed about school lately & always asking me to do his back & calfs for him & has never experienced the real thing.  He keeps saying he should but... you know, he's a boy... never gets around to scheduling it.

I vote Kindle. I'm a huge reader & I absolutely love mine! Plus, they're down to like $189 in price now! :)
