Rustic farm wedding Ohio

Hello!

My fiance and I would love to be married at a traditional, rustic barn on a large farm in Ohio. We're not too choosy regarding where the farm is located - although we are from Columbus, so the closer the better.

I've looked at Botzum Farmstead in Akron, so any other ideas would be welcome!

Many thanks,
Haley

I agree with PP . . try the local board.

I also wanted to post a picture for you that you might like. A friend of mine did some rustic/fall CP's for her reception and they were pretty neat.

    Happy planning!

I grew up in Hilliard.  I know there's a barn in Westerville you can rent out.

You might try calling the Metro Parks.  I vaguely remember either Battelle or Blacklick having a barn-like lodge but it's been a while!

Also-there are still lots of really pretty barns and farm sites in the Hilliard/Dublin outskirts, in Marysville and Plain City/Milford Center.  I don't know of specific venues but I bet if you search you can find something.

Still try the local board.  But good luck!

Its not a farm, but consider checking out Bryn Du Mansion in Granville, OH.  There's a barn and fieldhouse on 52 acres.  I'm getting married there and its really really beautiful.  Good luck!

We are getting married at the Amelita Mirolo Barn in Upper Arlington...it's historic and modern, it's really less of a barn look, but has exposed beams on the inside and wood walls...pond and park outside.

Also there is one in Lancaster called Little Brook Meadows. It's gorgeous...an old horse barn that they turned into a wedding facility...very rustic, very barn like.  there is also a vintage house on the property that sleeps 20 and you can rent it out for the weekend.  We almost had our wedding there, but decided it was a little to far and we wanted to stay closer to Columbus.  We visited it several times and the Owner, Therese, was super great.  There is also a little pond here as well as LOTS of beautiful acreage http://www.littlebrookmeadows.com/Home.html

There is another in the Marysville area that I just can't remember the name.....

You might want to try White Star Farm.  Its in the Grove City/London area.  They have a decent amount of land and it definitely has the rustic barn look.

The Adena Mansion & Gardens in Chillicothe have a barn!  It's an absolutely gorgeous property and things are SO reasonably priced down there. We're having our ceremony there but opted for an indoor location for our July reception.

    I second "White Star Farms"

The lady who runs it is named Laura, and the barn was sooooo picture perfect, very cutely decorated and rustic. If I remember correctly It can hold about 150 people  in the main part, but you can fit many more if you are creative.

Also it was about $200/hr to rent I think, bring your own caterer and I think your own alcohol too. Though I think she has a prefered vendor list for caterers, just companies she has worked with. Also, her kids are really busy with school functions, so she only hosts a few events a month, call her soon!!!

Sorry if my memory is a little off! I met with her 6 months ago! Good luck!

I believe White Star might be 100% booked for Saturday wedding this summer...we called back in February and the only Saturday's she had to offer was one in August and one in May. Whow knows what may have changed since then, though!
