ideas for pics between ceremony and venue....

So we have to be out of the church at 4:30, which is in Bloomfield Hills.  I would like to be walking into the reception 6:00-6:15, which is in Detroit.  Anyone have an idea of where we can stop between Bloomfield and Detroit for some pics?  It would just be FI and I, not the whole clan.  Not interested in Comerica Park or Fox Theater.

actually you can't take pictures at cranbrook unless your photographer is on there list. Unless your having the reception there then you can use anyone you want. I looked into it.You can take pictures in Birmingham or Royal Oak. Even the Detroit Zoo would be nice.

Ditto on the Cranbrook issue, I checked it out too. We took our pictures in Downtown B'ham. There are so many nice buildings to take them in front of and also the police station is gorgeously landscaped, that's where we actually took most of the pictures.

You can take pics at the DIA in the Diego Rivera exhibit if the DIA doesn't have an event going on... have to call in advance and coordinate. Also, the Detroit river walk Some alley's with grafiti in greektown by Jacoby's The Guardian building Campus Martius (love the panoramic city view) The Ren Cen Greektown... I love how busy it is and all the brick and stores... there's tons of places downtown...

sorry the late response. But you can't take any pictures what so ever at Cranbrook unless your photographer is on their list and to get on their list they have to pay big bucks. I was disappointed also but hey what are ya gonna do.I was take pictures in Royal Oak, Birmingham, and the Rochester Municipal Park but I'm thinking just Birmingham and Rochester because at Shain Park in Birmingham I believe the fountain is the same one that Royal Oak has so what's the point ya know.Good luck and I'm sure no matter where you go the pictures will be amazing.
