how to make fake leaves float in vase?

My leaves keep sinking to the bottom of the vase... What can I do to make them float?

my initial thought is that they are sinking because they are absorbing the water...so you'd probably have to either spray or coat them with some kind of sealant in order for them to not absorb water. I have no experience with this, unfortunately, that's just what I'm thinking off the top of my head.

What are the leaves made of? Perhaps they simply aren't buoyant. Could you try using that fake water gel stuff?

Not sure if this would completely work but what about coating them in some sort of clear wax? Just a thought, try it out..
