One of my HS teachers said her sister worked in a birthing center, and they saw some crazy names. One woman named her daughter Ajoy Iwillbe. I don't know if that's true or not. I also don't get the "Nevaeh" name. Like if you wanna name her Heaven, just name her Heaven. Don't make me look at it for 10 minutes trying to figure out how to say it!

If you haven't heard this story yet, I told FI that he could have his pick of first names (which he had already told me about) if I got my choice for middle name. He thinks his pick guarantees our kid would be an athlete. I'm hoping my pick guarantees this kid won't have this name. What is it, you are still asking?? Juice Boom-fanastic M.

Ohhhhhhh....at my last job we dealt with a lot of independent contractors (most of whom were retired auto workers that needed something to do with their time). We had a guy named.....................are you ready??? Harry Annis I can't make it up. I just can't. I hated even touching his expense reports lol.

Haha these names are amusing. My FMIL always says that when we pick out names we need to make sure they aren't names that will be easily made fun of.

Next door neighbor from childhood is tossing names around for her unborn son, due in January.  She wants Beckett, he wants Cash; her sister and I discussed this and she said she hates the idea of her nephew being named Beckett because it reminds her of a bucket.  LOL Mommy to be originally wanted Ryder but they ditched it because her last name is Hardin.  Ryder Hardin.  LOL

Wow, some of these are astonishing! I once had a very boring job handling lots of forms, so we collected lists of odd names to amuse ourselves. But the ones I remember were tame compared to all your examples. "A co-worker of mine named her child Genghis." One of my friends listed her first name this way in the phone book because she has a very girly first name, an unusual last name, lives alone, and hoped to deter stalkers and such. So far it's worked.
