Looking for Makeup and Hair person

Hi everyone,

I am looking for recommendations for a hair and makeup person. I have used someone before for makeup (for my bridal shoot) and I was not completely thrilled with her, so I am back to looking for someone that does really good makeup and is reasonably priced. If she does hair as well, that's great (I'd rather deal with just one person). Otherwise, if you know of someone, please do recommend.

If you are getting married in Grand Haven, I would try one of the other MIchigan boards.  They will know people more on that side of the state (try the GR board.)  I doubt any of the hair/make up people in the Detroit area would travel to Grand Haven or if they do, their travel rates might be really high.

Ditto pp. Also, check out the sticky at the top of the page titled "Who Are Your Vendors" All of the ladies have been nice enough to share their vendors. Scroll through there and you'll find all of the makeup and hair people!

Thanks girls!

The reason I am asking here is because I am worried (paranoid) that my hair and make up person won't show up when I get to GH. I'd rest better knowing that my hair and makeup, photographer, etc are coming with us (not necessarily in the same car) rather than me being anxious the whole way as to whether I'll drive all the way to GH and then realize that they are a no-show. Certain things like the venue, flowers, etc are local businesses and I can always go to their venue to meet them, but others like a photographer, hair, etc will be hard to track down, so for those people, I am looking to ask them to drive with us the day before. I am fine paying a little extra for that (since our guest list is small and we are saving money there).
