"Will you be my bridesmaid?" box questions..

I absolutely love the idea of creating a personalized box for each girl asking them to be my bridesmaid but I am stumped as to what to put into it! I am going to write a letter to each of them to put in the boxes and maybe add a few pictures of us throughout the years. Besides that I have no idea what to add! Have any of you sent boxes? If so, what did you put in them? Thanks!

  • I think this is a cute idea. I think what you've mentioned is great.

Not sure if you want to spend the money, but my boss got me a "Pat the Bride" parody book before my wedding. It is like the well known "Pat the Bunny" book, but has pages related to a bride. There is a page in their with faux dresses for bridesmaids. It's really funny & cute.

If you are interested, they are here:

Or, you could probably find the dvd or blue ray for "Bridesmaids" which is hilarious. They may all have seen it but might not own it.

Not sure if you wanted to invest that much though. You could consider it a "pre-wedding" bridal party gift.
  • I made these for my bridesmaids and included:
    - Bridesmaid dresses and style inspiration photos
    - Inspiration photos for our ceremony and reception (DIY projects, centerpieces, and other elements)
    - Paint chips of our wedding colors
    - Wedding information (what had been planned so far) and bridal party expectations (have fun and feel comfy and beautiful). I typed these up in Word, printed on cardstock, and cut out with scalloped scissors.

In addition to the boxes, I gave them a makeup bag with makeup, skincare, and perfume samples as a pre-wedding gift and thank you.
  • It all depends on if you want to keep it simple, or go all out. I went for simple for asking my girls, but plan to have "day of" baskets for them.

To ask them, I filled little boxes with dark chocolate hershey kisses (the purple wrapping is one of our wedding colors), and then blue-raspberry ring pops (the blue is the other wedding color), and then I created little tags on my computer asking them to be a bridesmaid (the tag deisgns were inspired by Jack Kirby's comic style, which goes with our theme).
