Ambassador Hall?

Has anyone heard of Ambassador Hall?  I found their website, and their prices seem hard to believe.  I called the number and got a message that the phone has been disconnected.  There's no email or contact form on the website.  Should I assume this place is no longer in service?  I hadn't heard of them before, but I figured it's because they are in Monroe.  I usually only look for venues in Wayne and Oakland County.  Could this website be just like HVCC's website, which is still up?

We went and looked at the place early last year, the price and packages were real! We liked how everything was included the only thing we really didn’t like was they didn’t have any windows in the room.

Ooooh, no windows... I don't know if I like that or not.  It's good to know they exist or existed, but I do think it's a little weird that their phone is disconnected now.

We ended up at the Crystal Gardens in Southgate for $50 a person. It included the family style served food, premium bar, DJ, wedding cake, champagne fountain, and midnight pizza buffet, and cheese crackers fruits and meatball stuff for cocktail hour (which I had no idea about, just saw a picture) We were really happy with the reception and I liked how they had a big window in our room and a personal patio for our party.

I liked Crystal Gardens a lot when we looked at it last month, but they said they had a minimum of 200 people (which they might be able to slide if we can get 175).  They also said that for us to get a room with the patio, we needed to have the most guests over whomever else books that day.  We liked the hall a lot, but that patio is a big selling point for us, and I didn't think we'd have more than 150 people. :-/  We're still considering it though.  It's our top contender at the moment followed by the Grecian Center.

Do you recall what the name of the DJ that was included in the package? I am considering having our reception at the Grosse Ile Country Club, which is now having Crystal Gardens manage their weddings/banquets. One of the things that worried me about the supreme package was not having the freedom to choose the entertainment. The only two listed on the website are people I have never heard of.

I just found the booklet they gave us at CG.  You have your choice of DJ from Mirage Entertainment or TJ Monte Productions.  The cake is by Cakes by Stephanie.  One of the DJ's has a website.  The other, I haven't heard anything about anywhere on the interwebs.

You got to pick from DJ Monte Productions or Mirage DJ. We went with Mirage and they did a really good job I thought.

And Cakes by Stephanie did a good job on our cake it was super yummy, everyone else thought so too! I wonder if you can ask CG about the min. some more? I know we asked if they could include both the champagne fountain and pizza buffet in the supreme package and get the Friday price over Saturday (which is when our wedding was) and they did it up for us, good luck to you guys!

Thanks!  I didn't think we would be able to haggle with them.  That's when I started considering changing the date to a Friday.  We are going to their food tasting on March 29th (I hope).  We'll probably ask them then.  Thanks!

They do have good food. And ask them if you can take the left over’s home too, if you decide to go with them… they said we could take the meat home.
