Huh (post full of random rambling thoughts)

So FI and I will have been engaged for 494 days by the time we get married. That's a long time lol. Its now down to 99 days til the wedding. We reached the 1/2 way point waaay back in August (can you tell I've been avoiding work this morning). Looking back - I am surprised that we didn't snap and elope. And I wish we got married quicker.

What are your random ramblings of the morning?

A friend of mine posted on FB yesterday that she is pregnant. I hope she is the last one that announces her pregnancy and has her baby before my wedding. That's been bugging me, this long engagement was a crappy idea lol.

I didn't take anything out to make for dinner tonight because I'm hoping that if/when FI gets home from business travel tonight we can go to Palm Palace. I weigh in tomorrow and I have had a crappy WW week anyway, why not top it off with a shawarma?!

Am I going to be able to skate tomorrow? I skated an average of 5 days a week for 14 years of my life but I haven't been on the ice since 1997. I'm a little nervous.

Because all your numbers got me thinking about my own numbers...and I, like you, lack motivation to work today...

As of today, FI and I have been engaged fro 406 days. We have 251 days until the wedding so when we get married, we will have had a 657 day engagement. Blahhhh.

I hear ya on the long engagement - it was a crappy idea lol. One of my friends said, all you need is 6-8 months that year thing isn't true. And I should've listened. You hear that newly engaged ladies?!?!

I promise I won't announce my pregnancy and have a baby before your wedding. I think that might be physically impossible.

Chicken shawarma...mmmmmm...sounds delicious. I'm thinking sushi for tonight. I probably won't have a hard time convincing Brian of that one...he's obsessed!

As for skating, I will hold you hand if you want me too! But, I'll admit, I'm a little scared too. I haven't really been on the ice since 1998 except for a few public skates over the years. We'll be fine...it's like riding a bike, right??

My FI is driving me a little crazy. I've had pictures in my head of what our wedding will look like (what girl hasn't?) I know that we're on a budget, especially since we will be paying most everything ourselves, but he tells me that he won't start planning until we get a budget to know how much it will cost. When I mention to him about wanting to check venues out or talking to vendors he tells me that I'm getting ahead of myself. Ummm, hello, how am I supposed to get an idea on a budget to start the planning if he discourages me? He also won't set a permanent date yet until all of this comes together. I feel like just doing all the planning myself but I know that he wants to be involved. So frustrating! Undecided

    Sorry, that is my rant

My rambling addition is that FI just called me all in a tizzy over our engagement announcement I sent to the Romeo Observer and apparently guys at work are seeing/asking him about. I purposely didn't send it to any other paper, just them because a)I used to work for them and b)I've gone for years watching everyone else and their announcements, can't I just do one?

Anyway, the part he freaked out about and called me was because I put down his biological mother and father as his parents (and their separate cities) instead of his stepmom who he ALSO refers to as "mom" and basically raised him. I don't know, what was I supposed to do?! Etiquette is so confusing sometimes!

Well in the meantime he gets a dig in on me (my parents are going thru a divorce right now) and says, "well, you probably don't understand since this divorce stuff is new to you." W.T.F. I was in tears after he called.

I'm starting to panic about the wedding. My SIL's are killing me with their 15 emails daily about stupid stuff. Also, FI wants to possibly change our reception location. Are you serious??? We only have 3 more months to go.....J.A.!!!!

Sorry, I guess this was more of a vent then random thought!

We had a super long engagement,(over 2 years) but it was well worth it. We were both able to focus on wedding planning after we were finished with school

I had brownies and a glass of merlot for breakfast.

Will have brownies and white wine for lunch. lol

One of our friend is having a baby, I am so happy for them. They will make awesome parents. I just received the invite to her shower and I don't want to go. I told Austin to send her a gift. All this baby talk is making me sick, sad and depressed. I would love to have another but can't. It makes me feel ancient. I'm starting to get those feelings, wanting babies. OH well.

My stomach is grumbling embarrassingly loud this morning. Like so loud that I'm sure my co-workers must be hearing it. I ate my normal breakfast so I don't know what my deal is. I am ready to bust into my lunch, but then I know my stomach will just start growling this afternoon so I am trying to put it off a bit...

Um, I would LOVE a brownie. But I'm sure that would be too many WW points!! I think its cause I had a big dinner late (like 9pm) last night. Whenever I go to bed with a full stomach, I wake up starving for some reason.

SO AWESOME. I am pretty jealous.

As for mine and Bryan's long engagement (477 days to go!), we originally planned it that way because he hadn't landed a job yet. Well now he has a job and we need to move to another state. I am more tempted to sign a marriage license for the health benefits he gets through his new job more than anything though :( not very romantic.

I am eager to become a two-income household but school is taking forever!! Maybe I am strange but I'm not wild about Bryan supporting me while I go to school. Somehow I feel like it's not his job yet, and I wish I could contribute more than my temp wages.

I will have to bring brownies to the next GTG. Yes I am handing out brownies. Who would like some. I just hope I don't finish it before Austin gets home. We usually make them on Friday evenings, but I needed something sweet for breakfast.

Oh, I'm sure they're like 6 or 8! And considering I can only have 22 points a day, I'm not sure that's a smart move! But if they're at the next GTG, I might not be able to resist!

Don't forget about your 35 Flex Points!

If the "average" height of an American woman is 5'4" (which is how tall I am) why is it that an "average" pair of pants is about 4" too long on me? Why can't they just size women's pants the way they do men's? That would be so much easier!

I am lovin' me a raspberry mocha right now.Smile

We are not having a long engagement, but everything still feels like it's going so slow. I still have plenty to do but it's not as much fun doing it from 2,000 miles away.

All the fun stuff I imagined doing I don't really get to do. And I cant even fly home because it's not cheap or feasible to come home for a weekend.

Oops, was this random thoughts or random complaints?! I'm homesick a bit today I guess, lol.

Our engagement will be just over two years by the time we're married, I wish we would have done it this year..But, with FI being unemployed several times throughout the planning, it's been the smart thing to do for us.

Brownies sound absolutely awesome right now, except I think the sugar would make my headache worse.

THIS has been my thought all week. My family is driving me crazy, and the stress of planning this wedding by myself is really starting to get to me. And I've only been engaged for 5 months!!! I kind of had a break down last night (probably partly motivated by hormones, it's my moody time of the month, but still) and told FI he needs to help me more. Every time I ask him to do something (like check out bands and DJ's I found online), he forgets. So I'm left to keep nagging him and feel like a biatch. At first I felt bad about wanting to elope because it would mean so much to have all my friends and family there, but now I'm really not so sure it's worth it. :(

And I want a brownie and merlot too!!!

this topic is too tempting to pass up with all my 500 thoughts running through my head today...

my boyfriend of 4 years finally proposed on dec 22! i'm in full engagment bliss and want to plan!! my good friend is planning her wedding AND my sister!! both weddings i've been involved with. going on 'dates' with my sister to check things out and getting emails from all the great ideas from my friend. i'm jealous and want to plan MINE! so, i did just that (kind of!) lol my friend and i have an idea of things put together, and have been looking online at venues... problem is... FI isn't ready to set a date. Says proposing was a huge step for him and he isnt ready for marriage just yet. Does that even make sense?? screw him i'm still gathering ideas!! lol. so when he finally says "hun, i'm ready" i'll say "great how about next week??" LOL!!

We have an english bulldog that is AKC registered and we show her in dog shows. We did a 4 day dog show weekend at Rock Financial Showplace. She did great on Thursday and Friday, getting first in her class. Saturday she got 2nd in class and today 3rd in class..... those are all great placements. she beat the other dogs..... so why on saturday did i walk away from everyone and tear up for a brief second before gathering myself again? Really... it's a dog show... lol i guess i felt like we HAD the win.

At what point are you OBLIGATED to do something... even though you REALLY don't want to do it.. but you know the right thing is to do it.... maybe i stress too much about the little things... ok i know i stress too much about the little things.

i woke up from a nap 2 hours ago.. will i sleep tonight.... i'll take some benedryl to help me meet Mr.Sandman :)

oh yah... and brownies do sounds yummy!!! Try putting chocolate chips, or peanut butter chips or even caremel chips in your brownies.. YUMMMMO!

Thanks for the "random thoughts...." or "random bitching..." whatever you call it.. i think i feel a little better :)
