    Awww thank you :)

It feels really great although very overwhelming at the same time.  There were a few items that needed to be replaced right away (washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc.)  Once we stop spending money left and right I'll start feeling a little better.

I gardened for the first time this weekend and sprayed the crap out of all the weeds that were in the mulch.  They don't stand a chance against me!

But DH and I are having fun just making it our own and getting excited for our plans for it.  New paint, new furniture, etc.

How did your meetings go today?

Not a problem! Craig and I know both what it's like to be first time homeowners! We closed on our house on good Friday of this year. It's very overwhelming when it comes to a new house and having to do wedding! Let me tell you to try to do wedding planning than also house planning now that's a bit of overwhelming! We didn't expect to get our house right away like we did! Our house was short sale which usually takes 3-6 months than going into foreclosure. The whole process had taken three months from the time we put our bid in. We don't have any furniture in our living room yet or a washer and dryer. I use my in laws washer and dryer to wash clothes. Craig and I are going to look at my next door neighbors daughters washer and dryer that's brand new only used once or twice and they want only $400. If it's what we are looking for and it's in good condition we plan to get it but not right away until the wedding is over and that's our plan for furniture also. Beautiful day to garden! What did you garden? I didn't garden this year but next year I plan to! Our plans for the wedding went well thanks for asking!
We got fifty invites done and seventeen response cards done. We have to finish doing the rest of the invites and response cards. I have to buy another package of invites this week from Michaels this week since I'm printing an online coupon for 40% any regular item. We did our signing and agreement with our photographer tonight and it went well.

That's great that you got so much accomplished!  When do you plan to have the invites out?  Also, I <3 Michaels.  My goal was never to buy anything full price because there is always a coupon to be had.  DH was embarassed because I would use them on $2.99 items.  Oh well it saved us some cash so it worked for me.

And Yikes!  I could not imagine going through the home buying process (let alone a short sale!) and wedding planning.  We knew that we wanted to get a house this summer after the wedding but I specifically told DH he was not allowed to talk to me about it until after the wedding.  There was just too much on my plate to add a house on top of everything.

So following directions as he does, he asked me the morning after the wedding as we are getting ready to leave the hotel if I'm ready to talk about the house.  The whole buying process was actually a quick process for us too which we weren't anticipating.

And when I say I gardened, I more mean I bought all the items needed to garden (home depot and on clearance at Target!!)  I just sprayed, and sprayed, and sprayed all the weeds in our garden since I think the previous owners stopped doing anything after closing (they rented for a month afterwards.)  But I did dig up all the grow-y things that were in the cracks in the driveway and sidewalk.  And DH mowed the lawn so we are feeling very domestic.

Good luck this week with all your wedding errands.  And definitely take pictures at your hair trial.  We all love pictures :)

I'm so sorry Liz that this is late and that I didn't get back to you right away! I have been very busy! I wanted to let you know how my last wedding dress fitting went and my hair trail. My last fitting for my wedding dress went very well! I'm so happy with how the alterations and hemming look on my dress!  For my hair trail on the other hand I wasn't happy at all with it and either was Craig! I'm going this Saturday at 11:30 for a second hair trail.

Glad to hear the fittings went well!

From what I remember it was the half up/half down curl 'do right?  What didn't you like about it?  What are you going to try on Saturday?

PS - you are 1 month,  1 week, and 1 day.  Pretty fun :)
