Depending on how many guests you are having Lakland Manor and Barrister House in St Clair Shores are both beautiful and affordable!

It depends on how many people you have.  All the sites I am considering come in around $5,000 for 100 people, incl. bar.  Try Tina's Country Garden in Macomb Twp., Royalty House in Warren, Zehnder's in Frankenmuth (although that's not local, it's our number 1 choice), and the Ukranian Cultural Center in Warren.  Also DiCarlo's in Warren, but I don't know anything about their quality.

Our is just over double that for 200 people. That is dinner, alcohol, and late night snack. We're in Canton, so it's not exactly metro detroit, but just throwing that out there.

    Welcome Jacquie!

I guess it would help us answer your question if you told us a bit more. Wanting a hall for $5000 can mean different things to different people.

Are you looking for the banquet hall to be all inclusive (linens, tables, chairs, food and alcohol)? How many people are you having? If it's 100, then you want to spend $50 per person, but again, it depends on what you expect for the $50 per person.

Give us a bit more info, and we can probably help. I live in Warren, but while my wedding is (just under, yay!) a year, I looked all over the metro Detoit area. So did most of the brides here.

Also, at the top of the page there are sticky post-its that have everyone's vendors, as well as another has that prices. Check there first, do some googling. If you want to give us more info, we might be able to help you better.

    Good luck.

Barrister Gardens in SCS is a good option.

Mine is at Lakeland Manor in SCS but over $5000, I would bet though with less people and sticking to the basics it would be in that area.

We are using Mirage in Clinton Twp.  It's beautiful, and the deal we have is 32/person, which includes a buffet style dinner, alcohol, champagne for everyone, and dessert.  The other nice thing is that they do not add gratuity into your bill, it is completely optional.

Fern Hill Country Club in Clinton Township.  We had our reception there on a Friday night for $40.95/person and that included appetizers, premium bar, full buffet, dessert table, late night pizza, floral centerpieces, chair covers &  sash, and champagne for everyone.  Depending on the number of guests you have, you could definitely stay in your price range.

Some others that might work for that price are Zuccaro's, Club Venetian, Vintage House, and Barrister Gardens.

ETA:  Fern Hill also did not charge us gratuity or service charge.  It was optional if we thought the service was good - which we did!

For sure Barister House in SCS beat anyones prices that I checked into and I really shopped around. I cannot give you prices at the owners request but you should check them out for sure.

Our reception is going to be at The Gazebo.

I still don't understand how they can afford to charge so little for their premium plan, especially when I hear the food is so good, but yeah. Check out their menu -- it's $38.95 a head on Sat. night for:

    Chocolate fountain
    Chair covers
    Premium open bar
    3 entrees
    1 pasta
    2 veggies
    1 potato
    Tossed and caesar salad
    Vegetable tray
    Fruit tray
    Cold salads
    Rolls
    Chocolate covered strawberries
    Home baked cookies

You also get an "elegant entrance" with champagne, mimosas, and choice of two hot hors d'oeuvres, assorted cheese, crackers, and seafood spread. I couldn't believe it!
