I'm going to cry - please help

I've been trying to find a location to take pictures for my 9/11 wedding and I'm not having any luck. For the eastside brides, where did or where do you plan to take post ceremony pictures?

What about a local park?  Or downtown area?

Have you tried talking to your photographer?  He or she has probably shot weddings in that area before and might have some ideas.

I was freaking out about this too, right up until the week of my wedding.  My photographer reassured me that she could find a spot, and she did!  We ended up finding a church right on the way from the ceremony and reception that had beautiful grounds.  A good photographer should be able to do that!  They really don't need an absolutely perfect background to get you amazing looking photos.  That's what you pay them the big bucks for!

I'm not going to be any help with a specific location, but I thought I could offer some reassurance... finding a place for pics was something that I was worried about too.  I had no idea where to go.  But, a few weeks before the wedding, my photog called and said that she wanted to just stay around the church... the grassy area, a few trees and a barn nearby would make for great pics, she said.  And they did!

You really don't need some super awesome spot, because so little of any background makes it into a picture.  A few trees, a brick building, etc. make fine backgrounds and a good photographer will make it look good!

I to think Whaby Park in SCS is pretty. I live locally and see a lot of wedding pics being taken there. Downtown Mt. Clemens have some pretty cool places to get pics too. They have a few nice parks and downtown on the river is really pretty. Metro Beach has some really senic spots for pics too. Good luck!

I like Wahby Park...the only problem is you have to live in St Clair Shores to reserve the park. Of course, you could just show up....we might do that. I'm heading home this weekend to scout  out a few locations.
