Florists

I know there have been several posts about flowers in the past. I'd love to get a new thread going though....with new suggestions and opinions. Who did your wedding flowers? What did you like/dislike? How was the price? Thanks so much!

We are using Elegant Touch Events in Dublin. We had FOOL, Bella Couture Events, and Elegant Touch give quotes. Bella Couture isn't taking weddings for spring I don't think. FOOL was around 3800 and Elegant Touch came in around 2500. We ended up going with them. They are awesome so far, but our event isn't until May.

We are likely going to go with Flowers on Springtree Lane.  We also met with Flowers on Orchard Lane, they were very nice, but we are likely not going to hit their minimums for a summer wedding ($2000).

I used Mandy Merriman with Manor House Flowers.  She is expecting her 2nd child this summer, so she isn'tt taking any weddings this summer, but if your wedding is not for awhile I would definitely check her out.  She was awesome.  I LOVED my arch she created for me.  She works out of her home in Lewis Center, and was great with communication.  She was so friendly and helpful, and had a lot of wonderful ideas.

I actually found a woman that is just graduating from floral design school but she worked with Maple Connel in Grove City.  Just met with her last week and she seems to be a great catch.  She is going to take me flower shopping with her and is only charging 40% of the cost of the flowers to assemble, deliver and set up.  I found most florists were charging cost of flowers plus 75%.  I told her my budget is $800 and she said she could come in below that.  She even had centerpiece ideas that didn't involve flowers that she said she could help with so that my price could be even lower.  Her name is ironically...Rose.  If anyone wants her info just let me know.

I'm using Flowers on Springtree Lane.  I met with 5 or 6 florists, and FOSL was by far the cheapest one I met with.  I really liked FOOL too, but their price was over $1000 more than FOSL, and you have to meet the $2,000 minimum for summer weddings.  The ladies at FOSL are great!  They have lots of ideas, and if you have pictures, they can give you information on any of the flowers they see.  I would highly suggest them!  My quote was about $975 for 4 BM bouquets, my bouquet, 2 mothers corsages, 3 gma corsages, 4 large centerpieces, 10 small centerpieces, all vases, river rocks in the bottom of the vases, 4 GM bouts, 2 dad bouts, groom's bout, 3 grandpa bouts, minister bout, rose petals lining the aisle, flower girl petals, and a toss bouquet

    hope that helps!

We used FOOL and I can't complain. I came to them with ideas and pictures of what we wanted (lots of texture, many varieties of flowers, monochromatic white flowers with little bits of light green) and they were able to communicate that vision perfectly. We loved our flowers!

We had our wedding Mother's Day weekend (which I guess we didn't realize until we started looking at florists) so because it's a weekend where the demand for flowers goes up, so does the cost of the flowers themselves. Fortunately, we were able to use many of May's beautiful in-season flowers (like peonies, garden roses, gardenias, freesia, etc.) and it helped give us more flowers for the cost. Our budget was $2000 and we would have been at that or under had the wedding been on a regular weekend. But for around $2200 we got my bouquet, a toss bouquet, 4 bridesmaid bouquets (which we re-used for the Tuscan head table), groom's bout, 4 groomsmen bouts, 3 ceremony participants' corsages, 2 moms' corsages, 1 stepmom's corsage, 3 grandmother's corsages, 2 dads' bouts, 1 brother bout, 1 grandfather bout, 2 large ceremony arrangements (which we re-used for our reception welcome and escort card tables), 6 reserved pew arrangements, and 19 table centerpieces. FOSL was booked, so I couldn't get a quote from them, but other places we looked at were $500-$1000 more and wouldn't have given us as many flowers as FOOL.

My wedding hasn't come yet, but I'm using The Flowerman.  They have different options for flowers (such as having them do it all, you can make your arrangements yourself with their help, a mixture of the first two options, or complete do it yourself).  I'm DIY with their help so I'm getting 5 bridesmaid bouquets, my bouquet, 4 corsages, 10 bouts, and rose petals to line the aisle for less than $500.

We used Flower Galaxy in Tremont Center.  Judi was great to work with, and really affordable.

I just spoke with Bella Couture yesterday and they are taking clients for this coming Spring.  I had to check up to make sure I could get her for a friend as well as myself!  They are fabulous and so great to work with!  They are also giving all non-brides 10% off for the spring is what I was told!  I recommend them without hesitation to anyone!
