Directions Insert Poll

I am curious which people prefer. Maps or written directions. I don't think both is an option with my invitations. Thanks for your input!

I voted maps because directions are annoying when they assume that everyone is coming from the same direction.  Include a map to give everyone a general idea of the location, and then they can use the address to mapquest it or plug it into their GPS.

    Just my two cents...

I say written directions, because not everyone is the best at reading maps.  Just make sure you give different options for the various ways from which your guests might be coming!

I voted maps because I like to get an idea of landmarks, etc. And if people are local then they will probably have their way of getting there.

Written directions can easily be confusing and I think most people will just plug the address into their GPS anyway.

I'd say Map with an address...most people will probably use GPS anyways...

Also, maps are prettier than words IMO

I agree with allikl, maps are prettier in a wedding invitations.  At the same time, it gives a general idea and people can look it up if they need something more specific.

Thanks for the votes/comments everyone! As long as my invite vendor can do maps, I will go with maps. If not, it'll be written directions.

too late, but I agree that maps are the way to go--if a person gets lost, then the written directions are little help but a map can help them get reoriented. Cheers!
