    OMG, YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Name/FI's Name? Nereida and Bobby
What's your proposal story and when did it happen? Well, Bobby was going to propose on my birthday (April 21, 2009) at a beach near Luna Pier.  He kept dropping hints for the longest time, so I was expecting it.  Well, that Sunday, April 19th, he took me to eat at Blue Margarita in Woodhaven.  As we were walking out, I as telling him, "I know you're going to propose.  You should just do it now right here."  He said, "Babe, do you know how un-romantic that would be here on the sidewalk?"  So he opened the door for me at the car.  As I reached for the seatbelt, I looked down and he was on one knee just outside the car.  He asked, "Will you marry me?"  And I responded, "No way!  Shut up!" :)
Favorite detail of the wedding so far? Um... it would have to be that we get to share the day with our friends and family.  At our original shotgun wedding in Ohio (7/14/09), there were 8 people there, and we couldn't even afford to take them to dinner afterwards.
What's been the most stressful part? I can't decide.  It would have to be between picking a reception hall and trying to get hubby to help.
Will you do any DIY projects?  If yes, which ones? Yes!  I love DIY!  I want to make ceremony program fans, centerpieces, invitations, and possibly flowers.  One of my BMs is a floral manager at Kroger, so if I go with real flowers, I'm going to help her out with doing the flowers.
How did you hear about TK message boards? I just found out there was a board around November.  I knew about the site for years.
Do you remember what your first post was about? I thought it was a lurker call-out post, but it looks like it was one from August where someone asked if there was anyone from downriver.

Ask away!  I'm going to enjoy this! :)

<div>The adorable little baby's name is Bobby, but we call him Bubbas.  He was born February 14, 2010.  He was the first Valentine's Baby that day at that hospital.  He has 3 1/2 teeth and is getting over the I'm-going-to-chew-everything thing.  He walks alongside furniture but refuses to stand by himself, unless it's accidental.  He has curly hair, although Bobby and I don't and never did, even as babies.  Oh, he stops everything he is doing and crawls to the TV if he hears the Spongebob theme song.  He is definitely the best thing that has ever happened to us.</div><div>
</div><div>Here's a picture of him with Lola Bear. They made a fort. :)</div>

It doesn't help that he can't keep a secret.  Neither one of us can.  We exchange Christmas presents in November and find out about our birthday presents weeks earlier.  <div>

Pet peeves? Really bad grammar on TK or FB and misspellings when there is a spell checker available, lol. Oh, and TyPiNg LiKe tHiS.  o.O

Favorite foods (especially dessert)! Hmm... I like anything hubby makes, lol.  I like Puerto Rican food  (I'm Puerto Rican), Mexican, Italian, American, Chinese-- really anything, lol.  For dessert, I LOVE cheesecake.
Favorite vacation ever? I'd have to say Puerto Rico when I was eleven.  We will probably end up going there for our honeymoon.
Dream honeymoon location? I'd like to tour Europe, especially the Greek ruins.  I think Bobby would like to go to Finland (where his family originates from).
Do you have any DIY projects?  What are they? There are probably some more DIY projects I'd like to do.  One thing I wanted to do that I forgot to write about is making my own headpiece/tiara and jewelry.  :)

Have you decided what type of wedding you would like?  Retro, Vintage, modern. etc.   Have you chosen a venue for the ceremony and reception?  Any colors in mind yet?  I see you want to DYI your centerpieces... do you know what you want to do?

OMG I tried that dress on at Bella Donna's when I was planning my wedding!  :)  Love it! I ended up getting a different dress but the same designer!

Have you decided what type of wedding you would like? Retro, Vintage, modern. etc.  I like a beach theme, since we were originally going to do something outdoors, but now I like the idea of romantic mixed with fun.   Not sure how we're going to do that with our colors, but we'll figure it out.

Have you chosen a venue for the ceremony and reception?  The ceremony will definitely be at Most Holy Redeemer in Detroit.  We're going to look at a couple more halls, but we're about 90% sure we are going to go with Arnaldo's.

Any colors in mind yet?  Our colors are teal and chartreuse (like Kermit green, or lighter) with golden yellow as an accent color.  Our wedding party will look similiar to this:

I see you want to DYI your centerpieces... do you know what you want to do?  We'll probably have about 16 tables, so I was thinking about doing half of them with tall candles and half with flowers.  It'll look nice, I hope.  I'm looking for tall cylindrical vases.  I'm going to fill them with colored water, put an orchid (or other long flower thing or crystals) in the water, with floating candles at the top.  That will have smaller candles around it.
