MI Marriage License Info

can anyone rec a goodplace to read up on what to do to apply for a marriage license, as well as any info on name change stuff? 48days!!!! Time to start looking into that!

This is what we did:

DH took our birth certs and his DL to the Northville satellite office. The next week, he picked it up and it was ready to go. I know you said you were 48 days out, but the license is only good for 32 days, so make sure you do it within that time frame.

My date is oct 2 and i am in wayne county too.. let me know how much trouble it is.. i know the wayne county building sucks for process..

It's actually not that bad. You don't have to go to Detroit to get it done either. There are two satellite offices. One is in Westland and another in Northville.

I just called my county clerk's office.  It was surprisingly easy!  I didn't need any documents at all, just some info from DH, and I told him to stay close to his cell phone in case they asked me any questions I didn't know, lol.
