No One Carries My Dress! Now What?!

I have tried on at least 30 dresses and think I finally have an idea of what I want (sweetheart, strapless, a-line, light material, simple design), but no one carries the dress I am looking for in the store. I don't know what to do! The dress is an Allure Exclusives - style #2210

I thought about trying on a few other Allure dresses to see the fit and general style of their dresses and then potentially just order it.  But I am nervous about ordering a dress I have never tried on.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You have called every store?! Does the designer not send out samples of that particular dress? Would any bridal stores order it as a sample so you could try it on (and probably buy)? They have actual Allure Bridal stores and no sample of the dress you want? That's crazy. Sorry so many questions, but I feel awful for you!

This girl is selling hers on e-bay. http://tinyurl.com/yzm4qyu Maybe you can find one in your size and they would let you return it. That's an option, I guess. Only sold in select stores-there's got to be a store in Michigan that has one.

When I started looking around for my dress I had the same problem and one store (Victoria's in Dearborn) offered to look for a sample from another store and borrow it for me. I had to pay $50 but they said they would take the amount off of whatever dress I ended up ordering.  Is it possible that any of your stores could do that?

Yup! I suggest going to a bridal boutique that sells your designer and see if you can pay the $50 to borrow a sample frrom another store and have it shipped to that store

I would definitely recommend trying it on.  I thought I had a definite idea of what I wanted...but when I tried on similar dresses I ended up not liking them on me.  My dress I ended up with was actually one that the person at the boutique suggested for me.  You said you've tried on a bunch of dresses, have you tried on ones similar to the one you posted? Maybe a store will have a very similar dress?

I would definitely try the dress on. I had fallen in love with a dress and really thought it was going to be "the one". So much so that I had the designer ship a sample dress to a salon that carried their line. It cost me $30 to have the dress shipped there to try on.  When I got there I was so super excited I could barely stand it. BUT, when I tried the dress on it didn't live up to the expectations I had set up for it. I ended up buying a different dress from a different store. But, even having not picked it I know that if I would not have tried it on, I would forever wonder if it would have been the one. In my case it wasn't but in your case it may be. There has got to be a store that carries that line that can get a sample shipped from the designer.

Thank you everyone for all of your input!  I really do appreciate it! I never even knew it was an option to see if a store can get the sample from somewhere else.  I will do some more calling around this week and hope for the best.
