This is Bella (or Bella Bear, BB, Sweetie Pie, Sweat Pea, etc etc.)  She's a 2.5 year old calico and we adopted her this past summer.  She's the sweetest cat I have ever met and she loves to snuggle.  She's also quite the chatty Cathy.

Bella also has a knack for sliding down the bannister.  She jumps up to get something (which 9 times out of 10 doesn't exist) and then ends up sliding down the bannister and off the end.  Good thing she always lands on her feet!

All wrapped up in Todd's blanket. She did this completely on her own.

Asleep during the blizzard last week.

We adopted Chloe when she was about 6 weeks old.  We think she is 8 months old now and a Russian Blue.  We call her anything from Chloe, chlo bear, clo clo, and baby. I'm sure FI has given her numerous other nicknames as well.  She's a cuddler. As long as you are sitting or laying still for a moment she jumps on your lap.  She loves the water.  Not necessarily getting baths but FI leaves the water running when he gets out of the shower and she plays in it.  She's also jumped in the back of the shower with him. She's climbed on my legs while I was taking a bath. I love her to death.  For now, she is definitely our daughter.

She also loves boxes or bags.

    Ok we have two pets.

    1. Connie - She is a 3 year old border collie that we got just 6 months after dating....when we went to "go look" at some puppies.  We went to a farm on the west side of the state (both her parents were working herding dogs on the farm) to look at the boy but he was just crying and when FI picked up connie she fell asleep in his arms.  Well she was all innocent then but has been a monster ever since!  We love her to death though.

She was only a couple months here...

    2. Charlie - Charlie is our 9 week?? old kitty that FI got me for christmas this year.  I always wanted connie to have a buddy but another dog was out of the question, so I got surprised with Charlie and seriously they are best friends now.  It took awhile for them to warm up to each other though...lots of hissing and growling going on!

    Charlie sleeping...

    Here they are together!

This is my kitty!  This is a very old picture, when he was a bit smaller.  His name is Tricks.  We believe he is a British Bombay, but he was a stray as a kitten and he has a tiny bit of white hairs near his tummy so who knows!

We adopted him last January when he was somewhere around 12 weeks old.  He's super crazy and playful and for the most part HATES cuddling.  He's starting to warm up a little and will sit on the couch between FI and I, but forget about him ever sitting on your lap!

I'm lacking in the picture department right now though :(  If only I could post a video!  I have some newer ones that are pretty funny.  He's recently rediscovered his reflection in our bedroom mirror and attacks it occasionally.

We have 2 pets.  Our first is a cat named Maverick, he is almost 3.  He lovesssss to cuddle and always needs to be around people, except when our dog is hyper .  However, he greets us when we come home and will allow us to smother him, which I love!  When I went to look at kittens at the shelter 2 1/2 years ago, I was looking for more of a tabby cat but I was greeted by itty bitty 10 week old Maverick.  He stood at my feet, looked up at me and opened his mouth to meow but only  a little raspy whine came out (which is still his way of whining), I picked him up and he purred and cuddled before running around and jumping on other kitties trying to get them to play.  So, I was pretty sold on taking him home at that point.

Our second one, is a black lab named Colt and he is a year and a half old.  He chews everything in site, about 7 pairs of my shoes (mostly my birkenstocks and maddens...never gets the $5 flipflops), a few Victoria's Secret bras, 2 of FI's wallets...and lots of other things as well.  I taught him to sit by realizing he loved ice cubes (Seriously flips out when he hears the freezer door), now I force him to sit calmly everytime he wants one.  And probably my favorite story about him; for months FI has been just closing the door to his cage not actually locking it, the other day we were sitting in the living room after just getting home and Colt finally realized if he pushed the door he could get out (he has not discovered this about the baby gate yet and has not been able to figure out the cage again yet).

Oh and as shown in the picture, he has a giant feud with an elmo stuffed animal and violently attacks it whenever it is in view.

We put up a baby gate to the office so Colt can't get to Maverick's food and litter, and if we are in the office...he gets very jealous.

I have several pets (pictures hopefully later).

I have a dog (basenji/lab mix) who is insanely smart.  His name is Redford and my FI adopted him 7 years ago.  He also loves to lay on top of the couch (like a cat) and watch TV with us or stare out the window.

I also have a goldfish.  He's lazy and just sleeps or swims around all day so nothing too exciting.

I also have 2 degus (rodents).  One is 2 and the other is 4.  I adopted them from the lab I worked at as an undergrad so I could continue to enjoy their antics.  I also picked them because one I hand raised since his mother died and the other was very attached to me after caring for all the degus for 2 years.  They are both crazy and on a daily basis will both try to run in their wheel in opposite directions (making the wheel stop moving) or do assisted running where one uses mostly his front legs to run and the other uses mostly his back legs and holds onto the other one.

Its fun to see everyone's pets and hear about their personalities, but this kinda makes me sad, FI and I have been talking alot about getting a dog, but we're worried about leaving it alone when we're both working.  We found the cutest puppy on petfinder named McGruff!!!  Hopefully we'll have a dog soon.

if it makes you feel better we both work and our dog gets left alone for awhile sometimes.  She is actually GREAT and if we do it we always try and play with her extra, take her on a longer walk or get her a new bone.

    Meet Oscar.

He's a 6 year old Yorkie and weighs in at 3.9lbs.  Oscar makes whooping noises when he sleeps, has had 3 surgeries for his knees and will make friends absolutely anyone with a lap.  FI and I got him when he was 6 months old and he was the first dog for either of us.  It was instant love and the overwhelming guilt from leaving him home alone resulted in.....

Macy the MaltiChon!  She's 5 years old and weighs almost 10lbs.  Macy likes belly rubs, Ke$ha and laying up against heat sources.  She joined our family when she was only 3 months old and we've all been snuggling ever since.

Riley is our (my) 2 1/2 year old labrador.  I've had her since she was 6 weeks old. She's got such a funny little personality.  We just bought a house a few months ago, and have an extra bedroom, so Riley's bed and crate were in there.  My brother and parents are coming for Easter so we decided to buy a low platform Ikea bed so my brother could sleep in there.  Riley is NOT allowed on any of the beds in our house and knows she'll get in trouble if she goes up there.  The first night we had it all put together, we said "Riley time for bed"  She ran into her room, past her bed and crate with all of her toys and got up on the new human bed and flopped down with this look like "thats right b*tches, just try and stop me.  Thanks for the new bed"

Guess we bought the world's most expensive dog bed ever ;)

We have 3 and I love them all to DEATH!

This is Toto. We got her Last Chance Rescue last March. They told us she was three, but I think she's older than that, more like 5 or 6. She is a Pomchi. This isn't a funny story, but she broke her leg a week after we got her and she had to have surgery to have it fixed! Took her all last summer to heal.

This is Elphie. We got her almost 2 years ago now, she will be 2 years old in May. They don't know the exact kind of cat she is, but they think she has some Russian Blue in her. Funny story- Last night she fell off the counter into the trash can because she was looking for food and couldn't get herself out!

This is Fiyero, he will be three next month and we've had him almost three years. He is a domestic medium hair and sheds like crazy which is a problem because he hates to be brushed. He likes to show the others who's boss and smacks them sometimes, nothing harsh just enough to say he's the dominant one.

Sassy is technically my MIL's dog, but she got her while we all lived together.  She's a Shepherd-Husky mix.  We've had her for a year and a half now.  She was nine weeks when we got her.  There are so many funny stories I could share of her, but instead I'll share a photo.  Here she is with my baby begging my FIL for candy.

We've had Lola Bear for a few weeks now.  I'm going to guess she's about 11 or 12 weeks now.  We think she's part Shiba Inu or Chow mixed with Shepherd.  There's a bunch of funny stories I could tell about her, but I can't decide which.  Hmmm... let's go with this one.  When I take a bubble bath, she tries to drink the water.  So I put some bubbles on her to distract her and get her to stop, and she freaks out.  If I put bubbles on the ground, she attacks them.

Here's Lola.  It took 6 shots to get this blurry picture.  Why do dog's eyes have to turn red or blue when you take a picture?

More doggy (and baby) pics in my KOTW thread you guys should all be on asking me stuff. :P
