Total AW - Invites are in the mail!

Seriously I am soo excited right now! I took my invitations to the post office this morning and they are on their little way to our guests. These were my babies so it was a ltitle sad to see them go although I'm excited to start getting the RSVPs.

Plus I asked the woman if she would hand cancel them for me and she said they normally don't but since it was slow, she would. So she canceled them for me while I stood there. Plus she took her time to make sure the cancel stamp was in the corner of the postage so you could still see the cake stamp. If you go to the Post Office in Berkeley at about 12 and Coolidge, they are super nice

I also bought the postage for our thank yous so I'm all set.

That is so exciting! Your invites looked amazing and I give you lots of credit for doing everything yourself. But, now I'm feeling behind: our invites are still disassembled and no where near on their way to the post office!

Congratulations! Isn't it starting to all become real?

Don't feel behind. I'm actually early and shouldn't have sent them out this early (10 weeks is next week) but it was killing me that they were just sitting there assembled. Plus my FMIL was driving me bonkers about the hotel block information. Her siblings kept asking her about it and I made her promise not to give out the info so that all our guests had the same opportunity to book a room. So I promised her last week that I would put them in the mail this week.

Thanks for the reassurance. It's better to be early than late though! We're going to try to get them out within the next week. I just need FI's help, which has been the true challenge!

Yay congrats! That is super exciting & I have to say, your invitations turned out so beautifully.

Thanks for the post office recommendation, that one is not too far from me so I'll definitely head over there when the time comes!

Yay!! Haha there is some separation anxiety when you mail them. I grew up in Berkley and love the ladies at the post office. The same woman has helped me out for as long as I can remember. I was planning on going there to mail my invites.
