Prince William is Engaged!

Just saw it on the Today show.  I'm such a sucker for any wedding but I think this is exciting!  Good for them and they've been together 8 years.  Supposedly getting married next spring/summer.  I wonder which of our knotties will share a date with them :)

Can't wait to see the ring!

    LOL, I was coming here to post it as well. I'm working at home, watching live BBC coverage online. It would totally SUCK if they choose a date one of us has.

    I've been searching all the news channels, but I couldn't find anything about it. That's exciting for them. I can only imagine what that wedding will look like.

    Oh - I love royal weddings! It was a rumored item in my latest US weekly (yes - i love my trashy gossip mags). Kate M has awesome style and I can't wait to see what the wedding will be like.

    Prince William is going to look just like his dad. Poor guy.

    Rachael - I read that issue of US Weekly too!  Although I'm impressed they kept it a secret since October.  That's quite impressive even though everyone was speculating that it will happen soon.

    I really like that she's a "commoner" and it seems like they genuinely love each other.  Seriously, I'm a sucker for this stuff.

    It was always my life goal to marry Prince William haha My mom text me think morning "do you think he proposed because he finally realized you are really getting married?" I was surprised because I just saw a whole story that they are taking their time and in no hurry. She must be a patient girl! Can't wait to see the wedding!

    Ugh, I can't stand Prince Harry.  Sure, he's better looking (these days anyway) and he seems more fun, but he's awfully offensive too.

    On another note, Kate's ring is Diana's ring!  An oval blue 18-ct sapphire and diamond ring.  Gorgeous, and very sentimental.

    I watched the BBC online this morning, LMAO.......I'm a total sucker for royal weddings (and royal scandals too, just shameful).

    I was so touched that he gave her Princess Diana's ring, and his explanation was just priceless. She raised him well, and he is quite sentimental.

    Good for them! (as long as they don't get married 8/27/11)

    Thanks for the photo Julie!  I saw on a TLC special last week that it most likely would be Diana's ring but it's nice to hear it really was!

    Harry is better looking nowadays, I can't believe how much William has aged!
    The ring is gorgeous! So special that it was Diana's, what an honor!
