Bakers of Milford

My FH and I are planning on having both our reception and ceremony at Bakers of Milford.  I was wondering if anyone had ever been there or had considered them, and if anyone had any idea how much it might be to use the site for the ceremony (we have an estimate on the reception).

Even if someone hasn't used Bakers, has anyone considered or been to a wedding where the ceremony and reception are in the same place?  How did it work and was it weird?  I've never been to one but it seems to be the most logical for us financially (saving money on transportation, travel for photographer, etc.).

I've eaten at Bakers and their food is great! I've never had experience with a wedding there. I've also never attended a wedding where both the ceremony and reception take place at the same location, but it happens all the time. I don't think your guests will think of it as being weird.  It is more convenient for them and you.

Like Kayla, I've eaten there, but it wasn't for a wedding. Love their food. I've also never been to a wedding there, unfortunately.
DH's Cousin' Wedding we went to two years ago had the ceremony and reception in one place. The ceremony was outside, and after the ceremony, they did cocktails and appetizers in another part of the grounds. Then, we went inside for the reception.
It was actually nice not to have to drive to another location. Especially since we were from OOT and had no knowledge of the area.

I think I may be in the minority - I'm not a fan of the food there.  I haven't been to a wedding there, but been to several other large events there.  I have been to a wedding where the ceremony and reception are in the same place, and like Gwen, it was nice to not have to drive.  the ceremony was outside, reception inside (also in Milford at Mystic Creek if you're looking in that general area).

I have been there for both the restaurant and was also invited to a wedding there. The wedding food was delicious as was the restaurant food. The wedding I attended was in 2007 and then when I got engaged and needed to find a reception venue, I went there and met with the sales girl and talked about prices. It wasn't what we were looking for so we decided not to go with them. Plus they couldn't lock in a price for us and they anticipated the prices increasing by at least 20%. HTH

I am a big fan of the food and the banquet hall. It's very pretty and their ceremony site is nice. I know that the family does their own weddings there, so it's nice!

I just attended a wedding at Baker's on the 18th of December, and I was really impressed with their banquet facilities. The place looked really gorgeous too - perfect for the winter-themed wedding. I added a photo below of the facilities.

    Good luck choosing a venue!
