Hello hello!
Well I've been married 1.5 weeks and it's been great so far (as well as it should be). The wedding day was... not perfection, but we got married anyway!!! The day ended very well despite the interesting happenings of the day. Some highlights (good and bad):
1. The weather was GORGEOUS!!!! Up until 30 minutes before the ceremony was to begin. Then it started drizzling, then light rain, then a steady rain when it was my turn to walk down, then a heavier rain during the ceremony causing us to cut it short... then an all out monsoon...They kept telling me rain was good luck.. we received a helluva lot of it that day
2. H was late getting to the venue.. and wouldn't answer the phone... I wouldn't get ready until he was there b/c what would be the point right?? I've seen movies start that way! turns out he was setting up out honeymoon suite downtown...
3. DJ played the wrong song for me to walk down to. I had only wanted this song for 6-7 years... no biggie right...But b/c of the weather, I walked down to some song I didn't know. I still have no idea what it was...
4. This was the worst one- my daddy collapsed ans convulsed and had to be taken to the hospital about 10 minutes after the ceremony was over. He is fine and was able to come back. Needless to say we are staying on him to go to the Dr. SCARY. They did bloodwork but cant find anything
5. There won't be many formals. Due to number 1, we really couldn't take pics outside, and due to number 4, it killed picture time. Who wants formal pics of the bride crying and snotting all over the place? Not me!!! They got lots of great candid pic though- I hope
6. Everyone had a great time. Food was great (so I was told. I was none too happy not to have an appetite b/c the tasting was wonderful), cake was good, booze flowed freely
7. Most importantly, we got married and will certainly have a story to tell the kids! After everything calmed down, it was a great day.
