SNOW DAY!!!!

No school means no work for teachers either! I swear I get just as excited now  as I did when I was a student.  Loving a three day weekend on behalf of mother nature! Making coffeee, going to the gym and then  cleaning the house, and checking the knot! What is everyone else doing?

I am enjoying the snow day as well!  These little perks of teaching are awfully nice sometimes : )

I am working today.  I got the lovely task of driving from Shelby Twp to Bloomfield Hills this morning.  Being on a slip n slide in a 2 ton vehicle is NOT fun.  Being on a slip n slide in FI's vehicle is even less fun!  Not to mention I lost a wiper not even half way through my drive.  It was funny but not at the same time.  So that is what I am up to.  And I am NOT looking forward to the drive home....maybe I can just sleep here.  :-|

I should have been a teacher!  Enjoy your day off ladies!

I'm working from home today - one of the perks of being a grad student done with classes is I can work anywhere!

I had to drive FI to the airport this morning at 5:30, and it was a nightmare.  I-94 in Washtenaw county was a complete disaster, which I was willing to forgive, until I passed in to Wayne county and the roads were in MUCH better shape.  In Wayne county, I could go 45-50 mph.  In Washtenaw, I was going 10 mph, and cars were spinning out everywhere.  It was really scary.

My daughter's school is closed, but I'm still working at home (one of the perks of working at home, LOL).

My fiance stayed at my house last night, and it took him THREE HOURS to get from Warren to Henry Ford Hospital downtown ............we looked at all the traffic cameras online beforehand, as well as accidents. We thought the accident on I-75 would be cleared up in an hour or so, but no..........he drove 2 mph the entire way, poor thing. The only alternative was I-696 east to I-94, but there was also an accident on I-94 blocking all lanes.

Needless to say, he was not pleased.

Up until this year our office was automatically closed if the schools were closed, but this year they changed the rule :(  I really wish I could have had an extended weekend!

I'm envious of all the snow days everyone has.  I was hoping for one (I work at a University) but no luck.  Took me an hour and 45 minutes to get to work.  Ugh.

I'm not working today but I was out and about running errands and it was horrible out!  In fact the roads still aren't totally clear yet.  I'm happy to be home now cuddled up on my couch :)

I had class today, but left early. This morning was tons of fun, Ken's car didn't start and mine, mom's and kelseys doors were frozen shut. Mine was the only one that wouldn't open. I tried kicking it to loosen up some of the ice and I put a crack in the paint. Major Fail.

But I made it there and home, so thats good. I go to a trade school, so no snow days ever.
