Bridal Shop Reviews Anyone?

My Mom and I are going Wedding Dress shopping this weekend and we're going to 4 different shops. I wanted to know if any of you ladies have had experiences at them? We are going to I Do Too! in Plymouth, Bridal Couture of Plymouth, Bella Bridal in West Bloomfield, and Diane's Dream Brides in Livonia.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I know a few knotties here have had good experiences at I Do Too. I liked the shop, and Linda was a great help.

I went to I Do Too to buy my wedding dress, my MOH's dress, and a bridesmaid dress for myself for another wedding.

Every single dress came in too big.  While they ended up taking care of everything (they're paying for many of my alts), I found it most unpleasureable to deal with the owner of the store (Krista).  Don't get me wrong -- she ended up making things right -- but she spoke to me in a very condescending manner every time I had to deal with her.  My mom and sister were also left w/ bad tastes in their mouth after dealing with her.  That's just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

I shopped at I Do Too & Bella and we purchased our bridesmaids dresses from Diane's.

I Do Too - I really liked the girls & the shop but they didn't have many mermaid/trumpet dresses, which is what I was looking for.

Bella - Again, the ladies were nice, but I felt slightly pressued &  I just didn't find what I was looking for.

Diane's - The girls were really sweet. Our dresses came in ahead of schedule with no issues. I would have gotten my dress there, if they had the one I wanted.

• I Do Too Bridal (Plymouth) -- worked with the owner (I am drawing a blank on her name) and had a GREAT experience.  She was very nice to work with and they have a ton of dresses.

• Bridal Couture (Plymouth) -- not a good experience for me.  First of all, the owner was the one who helped me and she did not seem too interested in helping us look through dresses.  Besides that, I found that they didn't have a lot of dresses and they tended to be rather pricey.

• Elizabeth's (Northville) -- This is where I found THE DRESS, although I didn't purchase it from here.  I worked with Narmien and I loved her.  Lots of dresses...some are very expensive, but they have a pretty wide price range.  Lots of strapless dresses and I knew I didn't want strapless so I didn't try on a ton here.

• Bella's Bridal (Northville) -- There were two women who were helping me here and I was getting very frustrated with them.  It was my 4th store of the day so I had a pretty good idea of what I did and didn't want and they kept bringing me the worst dresses to try on.  I felt like they weren't listening to me at all.  They referred me to their Ann Arbor store because it had a bigger variety.

• Bella's Bridal (Ann Arbor) -- Not a TON more variety than Northville, but I was really liked the saleswoman.  She knew I had my heart set on the dress that I found at Elizabeth's, but the price was more than I was hoping to spend.  She asked me what price I needed to buy that day and she got the owner's approval to know 15% off the price if I was willing to purchase THAT DAY.  So I did.

I loved I Do Too Bridal. I found my dress there, but I didn't end up ordering my dress from there because Dior Bridal was having a trunk show and offered 10% off my dress. The ladies were wonderful to work with and I had the best experience there out of every other shop.

I also recommend going to B'Ella Bridal in Ann Arbor. They have a nice selection of dresses. My mom actually ordered her dress from there.

I second Dior. I just ordered my dress from there today and they were absolutely wonderful. I liked them the best out of any store I've been to.

My BM's and I got our dresses from I Do Too. We all had a good experience there and I am very happy with them. My dress came in already and it looked great! One piece of advice one of my BM's gave me that I never thought about doing was to negotiate the price. I spent one day just trying on dresses and then went back there to make my final decision (I was torn between two). I told them that I was willing to buy it in full that day if I could get it for a certain price (I think it was about $75-$100 less than the price tag). She had to go talk to the owner, and ended up coming back accepting that price!

I Do Too - They were great there. I felt that they really took their time with me and got to know my style and what I was looking for. They provided many useful tips and tricks as well. I ended up buying my dress there and it turned out perfectly and it came in early too.  I couldn't be happier with it. The selection of dresses was great.

Diane's - I LOVE THEM! Of all the places I went to, I thought they were the nicest, most helpful place. They were so real and told me their honest opinions, which I appreciated. I ordered the bridesmaids dresses from there and they came in early and they exceeded my expectations. Would have bought my wedding dress there if they had my mermaid Maggie Sottero dress in the store.

I would also suggest Gina's in Milford.  Loved the shop and the girls were great.  I found a couple I loved, but I am waiting for one to arrive that I think is the one.
