why is it that websites for photography, photo booths and especially wedding dresses dont have prices!? I understand why they do it but it is very annoying. It would save me and the vendor time if they just had their price on their site!

Agreed such a waste. Even worse is when they make you come all the way to their establishment just to be out of your price range. Waste of time and energy. If I ever opened up a business I would run it so differently.

I know it's frustrating, but look at it this way: if they posted prices, you might be scared away from someone that you could negotiate with in this economy. Yes, I'm a "glass half full" gal, LOL.

I agree, I've definitely not looked into photographers, djs, etc just because they don't have prices.  I try to contact some via email and just ask what their prices are so I have an idea and any other questions you have.  That way, if I don't like the price I can just delete the email and I don't feel like I've wasted so much of my time (or theirs).

If the business you are considering does not offer prices instantly on their website, why don't you just contact them and find out? You shouldn't have to drive out to see if they are within your budget or not. The business should be able to give you an estimate for their services, and if in your budget, go from there.

Since the whole HVCC situation I have contacted about 50 sites I have had 5 of them tell me to come in for a visit when I have emailed them about pricing since it was not listed on the website.

OMG -- I'm so glad I'm not the only one that is absolutely annoyed by this!! If I feel like giving the business any of my time, I'll shoot them an e-mail about pricing but if they do not give me numbers in their response, I just delete it and figure that they don't want or need my business!

Oh, and we are using Rock The Booth for our photobooth... so far, we've had GREAT service. We visited their office and tested out the booth - which was idiot (or child or drunk) proof. Very simple. VERY FUN. (and they list their prices on their website)
