Piquette Plant (T-Plex) bride de-lurking!

Hi all! My name is Aimee and after months of looking at this board, I've decided to officially de-lurk! You ladies have been very helpful as I've been planning our wedding 

My fiance, Matthew, and I got engaged August 7, 2011 in front of all our family and friends in Ann Arbor. He arranged a flashmob for the proposal with everyone keeping it a secret for at least 3 weeks before it happened. I was completely surprised as he had told me we were going to an art gallery opening (he's a photographer). We'd been talking of marriage for quite some time before, but I had no idea he would propose any time soon and certainly not that day. It was one of the happiest days of my life and it was incredible to share the proposal with everyone we love. If you feel like creeping, here's a link to all the photos and video of the proposal! After much planning, we're getting married September 22, 2012 at the Ford Piquette Plant (T-Plex) in Detroit. Both our ceremony and reception will be held there. I know there are a few Piquette Plant brides on this board and I would love to connect and share ideas about decor, vendors, and logistics. PM me if you'd like to talk more about our awesome venue!

GREETINGS! I am one of the other T-Plex brides! I'll be getting married there Sept. 1st 2012! I likewise was planning the Ceremony/Reception to both be held there. Would love to get together with you via e-mail or in person some time to discuss ideas!

I'd like to meet with both of you, too...if I'm invited ;) My wedding is June 2, 2012 and I am also having both ceremony and reception there. It would be AWESOME to bounce some ideas off each other. Maybe I can start a thread for a T-Plex brides/potential brides mini-GTG? Where are you all from? I live in Wyandotte and work in Detroit...

Sounds like a good idea! I know Patricia was saying that a lot of "past" brides sell their decor to the next bride etc, so it'd be interesting to see what we all might be able to coordinate to save some money!

I actually live and work in Grand Rapids, but I am in the Detroit area (Berkley/Clawson/Royal Oak) about every other weekend - I'll be in town Dec. 23rd-26th and again the weekend of Jan. 7th

We should set up a coffee date or something!

Awesome! It would be wonderful to get together in person! So happy I de-lurked 

I'm currently living just west of Plymouth and work in downtown Detroit. Let's definitely try to set something up soon. I'm planning on taking December 23rd off work and will be around/free. I have a couple tentative appointments the weekend of January 7th but could definitely fit you girls in either Saturday or Sunday!

I'll be driving across the state on the 23rd but will be in the Detroit area sometime around 8pm? I don't know, what would work for everyone else? I'd hate to try to cram a meet-up in with holiday stuff, esp. when everyone has so much going on already (unless you're game! I generally don't have much going on except for the holiday itself!).

I'm available the 23rd, but that week(end?) of Jan. 7 would work best for me :) Im starting a thread for this now so other T Plex brides can weigh in on this! I know there is at least one more, StephLove12, and possibly others!

Hi. I was looking into having my wedding there but wanted to know if you guys know the maximum number of people you are allowed to have? I have heard 160, but am not 100%. Thanks!!! Marcia
