Artificial flowers

Are any of you ladies having to do artificial flowers for your wedding? Or have any of you ladies done artificial flowers for your wedding? What did you like/dislike having to do them? Please share any input that you'd like since I will be doing artifical silk for our wedding in October. Thank you in advance!

My to my disappointment I am using artificial flowers for my centerpieces.  I'm doing one of those submerged flower in water in a vase centerpiece and after much convincing from my mom, FMIL and FI, it looks almost the same and saved me a ton of money.

I just had an issue with using them since I love fresh flowers.  But I'm actually happier that I'm putting my money somewhere else that people will actually notice.

I'm considering using artificial.  I'm pretty sure I want my bouquet to be fake so I can keep it forever.  Half the centerpieces will be flowers, and half will be candles.  If I go with fake flowers, they will either be flowers that are obviously fake (like paper or felt flowers) or really really close to real flowers.

We're most likely using fake bouquets just to save money and so people don't have to worry about them wilting during the day or whatever (since I'm getting married in November, who knows what the weather will be like!)

If we do go with fake flowers, we're considering using afloral.com  [:
Oh, and I'm also possibly using my mom's wedding bouquet (which I NEVER knew was fake until she suggested I use it for my 'something borrowed')
