My name is Laura. Oakland grad (Go Grizzlies!) Getting married somewhere in Oakland County October 6, 2012.  Just engaged 02-23-2011. Right now I live in East Lanisng and work in banking. My FH is in law school.

I remember when I joined over 2 years ago, and my wedding seemed SO far away. Now just over 5 months. You'll get to know everyone here, and enjoy seeing the "last posts" as single ladies, then the pics they post from their weddings, and the joy and tears sometimes hearing how great it was.

Rick goes to MSU college of law. He has just one more year after this one! Yay!

Our proposal story:
Rick began giving me valentines about 5 weeks before he actually proposed. I thought it was just a Valentine's Day stunt, but when it didn't stop I was confused. Each valentine (which were the boxed kind like for children) had a reason why he loves me on them. Some of the reason where deep and poetic and some silly. We celebrated our 2 years together anniversary very quietly on 2/22. The next day I came home from ballet rehearsal and he had light candles and there were flowers everywhere. He was acting funny, but I didn't think anything of it. I thought he felt bad for not doing anything for our anniversary. He walked out from the kitchen with a rose and note. On the note was all the reasons on the valentines and a new that said turn around. I turned around and he was on one knee with a green box and asked me to marry him.

I have been enjoying every minute with family and friends celebrating. We had a party with friends and a lovely dinner with family. Engagement cake is amazing.
