AW Semester is over!

So I am not sure if many people know this but I am getting my masters in finance and currently work for a financial advisor.  I am licensed and do most of the stuff that is necessary for her to meet with clients and most of what happens after meetings.  And my boss can be hard to work for at times.  This past semester I took the financial planning class offered and it was pretty easy for me but I liked it because the teacher has his own financial planning firm and it allowed me to see another persons work.

Anyway, last night was the final and last night I got an email from my teacher asking if we could meet up to talk about what I do!  I may not be looking for a new position and nothing may even come of this but if feels really good to know that others see the potential in me!

Congrats to you! That is really exciting and accomplishments like that are great confidence boosters Not sure who your professor was, but I loved Walsh for this very reason - the professors are awesome and they do what they teach!

I never had a professor contact me after the class was over but I think I generally just blend in for most classes.  But this class I was very confident in and the prof was very good at keeping things interesting so I participated more.  I just wish that this wasn't close to my wedding so that I could possible pursue it a little better. 

On other AW news.  FI bought me a nook for my wedding gift and since he is a big kid and can't keep anything secret he gave it to me last night!

WoW! That is awesome Barb!! What licenses do you have?  I tried to get licensed several times but gave up. The tests were hard! Kudos to you for acheiving them and for what's to come!! Let us know what happens at the meeting.

I have my series 7 and 66 and my Life/accident/health insurance license.  I also have a lesser known certification CRPC, Chartered Retirement Planning consultant.  Yes, the test were REALLY hard.  I about had a hard attack taking my series 7. 

I sent him an email back to its just a wait and see thing right now.
