Any reviews?  Good or bad?  I planned on booking my reception this weekend, but recently heard some poor reviews,  Has anyone had any recent experiences?  Thanks!

When I was looking at halls for my wedding I made an appointment to go in with my mom and aunts. When I showed up for the appointment they said they didn't know we had made an appointment and that they were busy with someone else. Peggy really blew us off. If it wasn't for the chef it would have been a waste of time.

That sucks! I had an appointment there too! The lady was nice and squeezed us in with out an appointment.  We ended up booking down the road at barriester house because we liked that we had our own bathrooms and woudln't have to sharte the hall with anyone else. Louie was very nice and got us in for a food tasting the next day (Mlothers Day) cause we were on that side of town.  We are from port huron and it was quite a drive.  He also did a  lot with pricing for us! I would suggest you check them out.  We also really like Lakeland Manor in on that side of town too!

    Good Luck!

I had my high school prom there and it was ok.  The DJ blasted the music so it didn't sound the best at times, the food was just ok, nothing too thrilling, just average catered food (we had plated meals and there was not enough so my table went to coney island afterwards).  The room got really warm with everyone dancing and there wasn't good ventilation.  For the bathrooms we had to share them with all the other rooms so it was kinda a pain.  For the price I would recommend going somewhere else more guest friendly.

We ended up booking Lakeland Manor because their food was good and they have only one hall in the building and I didn't want to share bathrooms or the building. I also didn't want to hear another parties music over ours.

We went to Barrister Gardens for a bridal show - didn't seem to bad, but the only thing that I didn't like was the fact that it shares a parking lot with an 18 and older club - pepper bottoms.... YUCK!  I did not want my guest to have to deal with that!

    Peggy was very kind!
    The price is amazing.
The only thing that turned me off was the walls are like paper, and each DJ was competing...

That was our second choice though.
