Is it okay to have this as an alternative to Bridesmaid Bouquet??

So, I've heard some complaints about having to hold a bouquet during the ceremony, and what to do with it during the reception. So, I was thinking that since even the single flower thing is something they have to keep track of, what if they wore really pretty wristlets instead?? It could have sweetheart roses and babies breath and some ribbons to go with my colors. What do you all think?? Is it okay??

    Really these days anything goes....

In my opinion, it would kind of remind me of prom and I would take it off for the reception. Just have vases on your head table for their bouquets during the reception.

Who is complaining of having to hold a bouquet? Really, that's all the BM's need to do and they're complaining about that? You rest your elbows on your hips and hold the bouquet in the center. It's not that difficult. As for the reception part, you can lay them down on the table and they can act as part of the decorations for the head table. My mom actually had a really great idea and is buying all different styles of vases for the girls that they will get to keep after the wedding and they can put their bouquets in there for the reception. Also, some reception halls will provide vases or tall glasses that the girls can put the flowers in.

To me, corsages seems very prom to me and those are usually what the mothers wear.

I'm going to have to agree.  The corsages are VERY prom...and the moms/grandmas wear those.

Most flower places will provide you with vases to place on the head table so that the bouquets act as the flower decorations.  I have NEVER heard of anyone complaining about having to hold the flowers during the ceremony.  I mean, really?  They're not that heavy, and thats ALL they have to do.
