outdoor venues

Hi ladies-I haven't been on here in a while (got married a year ago this Sunday!), however, my friend is now looking to plan her wedding. Since I got so much good info when I was searching for ideas, I thought I'd come back on and ask you all. She is looking for a place to have her wedding ceremony outdoors in the Novi, Northville, Livonia and/or surrounding area.  Anyone have any suggestions? TIA

Check out Greenmeade Historical Park in Livonia, Kellogg Park in downtown Plymouth, and Mill Race Village in Northville. All of those parks have very pretty settings for an outdoor wedding. Greenmeade and Mill Race have an back up chapel in case of rain. When I was looking at Mill Race, it was about $1K to rent the grounds. I know Greenmeade offers discounts for residents of either Livonia or Wayne County. GL!

I'm getting married at the Longacre House in Farmington Hills, outside in front of the gazebo.  It's a beautiful location! They also have the house available for receptions but the capacity is 130 and I have well over that.  Good luck!

I am getting married outdoors at Kellogg Park in downtown Plymouth.  There isn't a back-up location in case of bad weather, but my hall (The Meeting House) allows us to have it indoors if needed.

I second Greenmead, we are having our ceremony at the chapel, and the reception at the hall, with a tent next to the hall for the music/DJ. The chapel & banquet hall each have a max capacity of 100.
