I got a min-season package of 27 games for Kevin & I, the eternally hopeful Tiger fans. When I ordered them online, I knew they were in section 113, row 12, so I figured we're 12 rows from the field. What was REALLY cool is we kept walking down to the seats, which are in the section next to the concrete barrier in right field. When we got to our row, yes it's 12 rows from the field, BUT we are only 2 seats from the barrier near the "out of bounds" area in right field. Awesomely close to the field and game action!
The Detroit News had a photographer there, and she took my pic, which is on page 3A of today's News, link below. That's Kevin below my right arm, clapping his hands in front of his face. You can tell who is the Type A personality between us.
Also cool was that as we were leaving, I saw Darrel Evans of the 1984 Champs in the standing room area (he had been there to sign autographs before the game). I shook his hand and thanked him for the excitement of the 1984 team, and how much we enjoyed it. He said he enjoyed it too. Kevin got to shake his hand too. Wish we'd had something to get his autograph!
