Lurker coming out of hiding

Hi Everybody,

I've been lurking on these boards for a couple of months now. Just wanted to say Hi and come out of hiding. I love reading all the wonderful, funny and informative posts. My wedding is September 4th in the Downriver area.

Hi there! My FH parents are from downriver and we talked about getting married on Grosse Ille in the same church, but we decided against it.

Tell us a little about yourself. What's your name? My name is Sandra and my FI is Eric. We have been together for 7 years and engaged for 2 years. We just set the date about two weeks ago.

How did you meet your FI? We met at work when we were both 21. We used to work at a Murray's Auto Store. He transferred from another store and I thought he was cute but I wasn't looking for a relationship and I didn't want to deal with guys and wanted to focus on school. We started hanging out as friends and before I knew it he had captured my heart.

How did he propose? He took me out to lunch a couple of days before my birthday and told me that he forgot my birthday present and I would get it
later. After lunch he decided to go to the park we frequently go to by the water and take a walk. It was a beautiful day out so I went along with it and didn't question it. We found a spot and it was just the two of us. We were looking out into the water with him standing behind me with his arms around me. Then he asked me if I still wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. I answered him "Of Course" and he pulls away from me and pulls out a box and shows me the ring and asks me to marry him. I was so shocked that I kept going back and forth looking at the ring and at him saying "Are you serious" for a couple of minutes. I then started crying and launched myself at him saying "Yes."

What is your favorite detail about the wedding? Everything, but especially that my colors are Eggplant and Silver. I'm not creative so I've been getting alot of ideas by looking at the bios here.
