What do you ladies have to AW about?

NWR: My son flew home from grad school in DC and surprised me Tuesday! Of course, his 24th birthday was yesterday, and it was so he could be home for his birthday, LOL. VERY nice surprise, and an AW about what a great son I have!

WR: I received my sola flowers from save on crafts for my place settings. I had wanted the one shaped like gardenias, but they are out of stock. They are so pretty (and inexpensive). LInk here:

I am debating about dipping the tops in silver or leaving alone. Silver is our accent color. I wanted to do napkin rings with them, but also have menu cards, so at this time I'm thinking of leaving them unattached to something, or attaching to ribbon and making larger napkin "enclosures" to wrap around the black napkins that are folded book style with the menu cards inside. We'll see.

I'm finally caught up with my wedding planning!! I ordered my invites (coupon cabin has a coupon for vistaprint for a lot of their invitations are 50% off!), booked my ceremony music, and I'm going flower girl dress shopping with my awesome flower girls on sunday!

Other than that I've got nothing...I have a 15 page paper due monday in my master's class and work is crazy and I'm exhausted =( I'm very excited for NEXT weekend!

Invites are all addressed, stuffed, stamped and ready to go out today!!! THANK THE LORD!! 

Also, yesterday was the 2 month mark!

my dress had to be taken in!  i was so ecstatic, it feels like a much better fit, and i feel so much healthier.

also, my FI is getting really sentimental and sweet.  our wedding is next saturday, and my macho-man is getting all softy on me.  i know it's because he can't wait to get married, and it's so heart warming!

@ Sue-n-Kevin - You should do Silver Dollar Branches to bring the silver theme: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/moneytree.html  One of my florists suggested this - my colors are royal blue and silver.

it's my best friend/bridesmaid's birthday today! and she's coming home this weekend and i haven't seen her since around christmastime, so i'm excited!

also, my first shower with fi's side is officially scheduled for April 17th!

Invites are slowly getting addressed and ready to be mailed out. I will be complete with this task by Saturday! I am making sure of it! Thanks to Liz for helping me with the address labels!



I've also been working on the Rehearsal Dinner invitations. I will be taking them to the printer tonight when I get off work. I will use my left over Stardreams paper for the actual invite and left over blue metallic envelopes to mail them out in.

Yesterday was my Gretchens birthday! She is 2.  I can't believe how big she is.  (She is my puppy and she is spoiled rotten!)

My first dress fitting went very well, the dress is starting to look like it supposed too.  I hate being top heavy and having no hips.  It really caused me to have to order the dress about 2 sizes bigger and I feared that it would not look the way it is supposed too.  My fears were gone after they pinned it all up.

And FI and I have a meeting with Amanda Williams tomorrow which I am excited about.

Gold star candle-holders and gold acorn-ish candles for the lounge and terrace at the reception. I bought a couple at Christmas as decorations, then decided that they would fit perfect for the reception. Pier 1 finally put them on clearance

I have the most amazing FMIL ever!!!! She's so sweet and caring. She gave me a few bad addresses for the STDs and they were returned so she felt bad about it but I told her not to worry. So when FI and I got home yesterday and checked the mail she sent us 100 stamps, some girl scout cookies, and each a Valentines day card. I thought that was so nice of her to send that. FI is her only child and she's not one of those overbearing moms who is always in the business. I just heart her!!!

I have the sweetest mom ever! I called her this morning to babble on-and-on about wedding nonsense. She is the only person I can talk to about it and not have her eyes glaze over after five seconds. Plus, she is always so interested in what new ideas I have.

Anyway, she let me in on a little secret. She's planning to take her entire tax return (both this year’s and next) and place it in a high-interest savings account for my wedding! The total amount will cover nearly half the cost of our wedding.

She's obviously been planning this for awhile and she made me promise not to tell my greedy sisters lmao!!

My mother would bend over backwards for me. I know not every girl gets this kind of help nor did I expect it. From the bottom of my heart I appreciate her!!!

NWR:  Yesterday was Bubbas' first birthday party. He got so many GC's, clothes, and toys!  Here's a picture of him with his crabby patty baby cake:

WR:  We picked a hall!!!!  I just emailed Arnaldo's to meet up with Mario on Tuesday and give them our deposit.  I can't wait!  I think seeing breeamber's wedding pictures was the extra nudge that did it.
