if you could do your wedding all over again or if you are still planning but almost to the date, would you still choose a vendor with their own catering or would you chose a vendor where you pick your own catering.  Just trying to get an idea of what we want. thanks

I have not had my wedding yet (3/5/11) but our venue is doing their own catering and also includes: the bar, linens, tables, chairs, lighting, dinnerware.  So far I love that we chose a place like this, it has been a lot easier and cheaper than other places I looked.

If I had to redo everything I'd probably elope.

To answer your question, we had a venue that supplied food/linens/etc and it was easy, food was good, and no complaints but I don't have anything else to compare it to.

We had a venue that also provided the catering.  It made it really easy, which I liked.  The food was good, but nothing that you'd probably remember... I think maybe if we had used an outside caterer that the food might be better?  I just wanted the ease of one less thing to research/book/worry about.

We haven't had our wedding yet, but our caterer comes with our venue.  I have heard very good things about the food, so I am hoping the food is just as good as an outside vendor.
