We had ours at Maggianos on Big Beaver. They have a few privte rooms, but the one at the front is the best/biggest. We had 31, but there was a ton of room, so, I'm sure 40 would still be comfortable. The food was great and so was the service. They put a bar in the room for us, too. Do you have a price range? Keep in mind that you may get charged more because your dinner is on a weekend.

I was also going to ask your price range like rcj2rcd did. Many venues, regardless of the night, have "set menus" for parties over a certain amount.

Bahama Breeze is one of them, as is Buca Di Beppo (sp?). They both have set menus for larger parties and charge $25 per person.

We can probably provide better suggestions if we know what you are looking to spend, keeping in mind that liquor will jack up the cost significantly.

I'm not really sure of price range because not really sure what rehearsal dinners usuall cost pp. Trying to keep it reasonable to lower price range since my fiance's father is covering the dinner.  What were the prices like at Maggianos rcj2rcd, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm not positive because we did not host the dinner, but it was about $60pp family style for 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 3 entrees, 2 sides, 2 desserts, coffee/tea and an open bar. Sue is right, alcohol is a huge part of the cost.

I agree with the Alibi. They have a private room that holds up to 50. Also, Shields on Maple/15 Mile and Crooks has a private room as well and very well priced.

We had ours at Kruse & Muir, it's at the corner of Crooks and Big Beaver.  They did an excellent job. Guests get a salad and a main corse to choose from off of a limited menu (with a price-range that you set).  Everyone said the food was really good. :)

I also highly recommend Kruse & Muer. I hosted a BM/moms lunch there and they did a wonderful job. It was $17pp (not including alcohol). The room at the front should be able to accommodate 40 people. I think the dinners start at $25pp (not including alcohol) and are a set menu. FYI - if you want to have drinks, but keep the cost down, stick to a beer and wine list.

Mine is being held at Maggiano's and we loved that they had private rooms. The dinners start around $35 per person without including alcohol. We are just having beer and wine at ours. I believe there is a $900 minimum. But just so you know it is cheaper if you don't do a full open bar.
